Capel Ucha is ideally placed for walking holidays,100m away is access to the Snowdonia National Park with gentle circular walks or strenuous mountain hikes. The area is an attraction to Cimbers, Mountain Bikers and birdwatches alike. Llanfairfechan has well-stocked Co-op and Spar grocery shops along with Public houses and take-aways. The clean, safe, sandy beach and promenade are a 15 minute walk away.

The North Wales / Snowdonia / Denbigh/Flint/Conwy region
Llanfairfechan is where the mountains run down to the sea. The area is rich in history from stone age axe factory to the the famous walled towns of Conwy and Caernarfon with their castles. The National Trust gardens of Bodnant and Plas Newydd are within easy car journeys as are the Snowdon Mountain Railway and several other narrow gauge railways and the many visitor attractions of North Wales Coast.
Conwy / Llanfairfechan area
The Victorian Town of Llandudno is 20 km away with its May Extraviganza. The Conwy Honey fair is held in September. The Carneddau pony gather occurs in October/November and during the late spring and early summer the new born foals can be seen on the local hill slopes. The National Trust Open Day occurs in September when the admission is free for the day. The Bryn Trefel festival at Vaenol Estate is over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Further details indoors: The cottage has a large open planned lounge with kitchen / diner with freeview TV,DVD player, Digital radio and CD player on the upper floor. The two large double bedrooms and shower room WC are on the ground floor with the Utility room with washing machine. The kitchen has a fullsize cooker, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, microwave cooker and dishwasher. Beach towels will not be provided, but there are no extra payments for heat, light etc.
Further details outdoors: The large lawned garden is equipped with outdoor furniture and BBQ . From there you can see the hills and mountains to the south and the Menai Straits to the north. The cottage is a short walk away from the Golf Club which is a challenging 9 hole 3 par course open to visitors during the week.
