We stayed at Church Cottage for 2 nights with our two teenagers. The location couldn't be better; it's a quiet street, but right in the heart of the walled city. The house is beautifully decorated with every amenity you could possible want: 2 spacious bedrooms, nice bathroom, very comfortable living room, a well-appointed kitchen, and a dining area well-suited for 4 people. Although we never met the owner, she was professional and accommodating throughout...mailed us the keys beforehand, and provided a loaf of Welsh tea bread and a refrigerator full of beer! The perfect place to stay in Conwy.

By the way, if you want a really excellent meal featuring modern Welsh cuisine, try Watson's. It was one of the best meals we had during our 2-week trip (and we are foodies who are generally not too enamored with UK cooking).

I'm sorry to hear you had parking difficulties but am really glad it won't put you off a return visit.Properties within the walls in Conwy,in common with other popular medieval towns, such as York and Ludlow, tend not to have private parking,so at busy times it can be difficult to park on the road near the cottage, despite there being 9 spaces for 5 houses!I will find out, and put on the website, the current cost for parking in the 3 car parks closest to the cottage, and expand the information sent to guests, to include some "insider" knowledge on other little known places.Hope to welcome you back soon.

"Beautiful cottage in an excellent location"

My husband, our 13- month old boy and my parents spent two nights at Church cottage. The cottage was actually better and bigger than we expected (from the photo). Owner Karen was really helpful and professional. The cottage is located at the heart of the walled town but avoids all the busy traffic. We were all very impressed how comfortable the two double beds were. Top quality mattresses! The bed linen was very clean. We brought all the towels but did not use them as all the towels we need are supplied. Two hand and two bath towels each room. No bath but shower was powerful. All the furniture a and decorations were carefully chosen with great taste. Kitchen was well equipped and we liked the matching dinner sets and cutlery. Overall it was ten out of ten experience.
