Is y Coed is a recently totally refurbished five star cottage located in Conwy on the edge of the Sowdonia National Park. In a beautiful location this luxurious cottage is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the wide variety of things to do in the area.

A top quality cottage, newly renovated and refurbished to the highest specifications. Located 3 miles south of Conwy, surrounded by beautiful scenery of the Conwy Valley and Snowdonia National Park. Two bedrooms (twin and a king-size + TV & sofa bed) and a bath/ shower room with underfloor heating. Spacious fitted kitchen/ diner with granite worktops, w/dryer, d/washer & freezer. Very comfortable sitting room with leather sofas, engineered oak flooring, feature fireplace and more.

Newly refurbished as the photos show the lounge is spacious has large leather settles, a log fire and TV with DVD. The Kitchen has all the facilities you would expect including dishwasher and washer dryer.

The bedrooms are tastefully furnished with a king size bed and TV in the main bedroom and twin beds in the second.

The bathroom has shower over bath along with heated floor.

In addition to the log fire There is central heating for those winter breaks.

There is private enclosed courtyard - see photo, whilst there are garden areas in the grounds of the cottages nearby that can be used if required.

Electricity and towels are included. Heating supplement of £35 applies to bookings from October to March.

The North Wales / Denbigh/Flint/Conwy region

Ideally placed on the edge of Snowdonia National Park but close to the coast. This location is ideal for exploring the whole of North Wales. Conwy, Llandudno, Anglesey and Caernarfon are just some of the great towns nearby. There are numerous places to visit whatever the weather.

Numerous tourist attractions mean that no matter how long your stay there will be plenty to do. As well as the attractions, whatever you enjoy doing there is something for you. Whether it is walking by the sea, in the mountains or just in the countryside there are huge number of options. If you want to be more active with mountaineering, all year skiing or someof the best mountain bike tracks in the country then again they are all accessible from the cottages.

For families there are great activities for all ages so you can keep everyone happy including farm parks, cinemas, 10 pin bowling and great off road family cycle routes.

If you just feel like driving around then you will see some of the most spectacular scenery there is from rugged coastlines to the mountain ranges of Snowdonia.

When the days are over then there are numerous places to eat from local cafes to award winning restaurants. Along with the more unusual such as the local Dutch Pancake House and also the Austrian Restaurant.

The Conwy area

Bodnant Gardens, Conwy Castle, Betws y Coed, Llandudno pier and promenade and Portmeirion are just some of the places to visit.

As well as all the attractions of north Wales there are several festivals that provide additional interest during the year. Located in Conwy North Wales, the nearest Airports are Manchester and Liverpool whilst it is only a short journey from Holyhead Port.

There is a train station in Llandudno Junction a short distance away and the main roads into North Wales of the A5 and A55 mean that it is easy to get to this beautiful location.

“Excellent holiday rental” We spent one week in this cottage and thoroughly enjoyed it. The building is a self contained wing of the main house. Inside, it's very clean and well decorated, every bit as good as the photos suggest. The property is well equiped and contained everything we needed for our holiday. The location is about 3 miles outside of Conwy, it's a short easy drive to get into town. The surroundings were peaceful and quiet, a perfect retreat after busy days out and about. We can't speak too highly of this place as it's one of the best holiday rentals we've stayed in.

“A lovely base for a tour of north Wales” We found Is y Coed a comfortable and up to date cottage with all the luxuries you hope for in a home from home, suitable for any age group. The location is perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday with the chance for more exciting activities close by.

“This is a beautiful home.” This a beautiful cottage, actually a wing of the owners home. My partner and I found the interiors prettier than in the pictures and very comfortable with lovely views out the rear windows. It is private and quite and has its own parking just outside the private courtyard. The owner, Niel Ryder, was friendly and helpful. I really can't think of anything negative to say about the place. This was our fifth trip to the UK but first to Wales and we loved it, especially North Wales!

“Beautiful” Delighted with the accommodation, a beautiful setting and the accommodation matched the beauty of the surroundings. We combined our stay with work appointments in Conwy and Is-y-coed is an antidote to the traffic, parking, and hustle bustle of the town; with the added bonus of being far superior to anything available within the medieval walls.
