We've already been there two times: In 2011 we stayed in "Is y Coed" with a party of four, which was excellent, because the cottage was very well big enough for four people, especially... more |

We found it easy to make the reservation with Neil. The property was probably better than the photos. Beautifully decorated, very clean and well equipped. It's in a lovely quiet location, perfect for a holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. |

We originally booked to stay in Tressi Porffor but the previous week's tenant had asked to stay another week so we were upgraded at no additional cost to Maes Masarn. It was simply superb. Every room is large (most of them larger than we enjoy at home!), comfortably furnished and well equipped, including a modern, large flatscreen TV. Ensuite shower and toilet in our room, large separate bathroom and two other bedrooms. Excellent kitchen/diner with a separate utility area, downstairs cloakroom and a very large lounge, with log fire and comfortable suite plus a large dining table. Being June, we didn't use the night storage heaters, but being June 2012 it was unusually cold and wet so we did avail ourselves of the free logs for a lovely log fire on a couple of evenings. Location is excellent, 3 miles from Conway and only 10 from Betws y Coed, where the bar adjoining the Royal Oak serves superb meals, both in quantity and in quality, at very reasonable prices - far better, I have to say, than anything we find down here in Hampshire! Attractions such as Llanberis for Snowdon or Carnaervon were within comfortable reach via some very scenic routes. The little quadrangle of cottages is idyllicly quiet and peaceful and we could not fault it in any way. A memorable week all round, thank you. We went directly from there to a week's camping in the Yorkshire Dales and though this was also enjoyable, we did miss the comforts somewhat!! |
