Glan Yr Afon is a 4 bedroom townhouse on the waterside overlooking Conwy marina, minutes from the beach and Conwy golf club. The property sleeps 8 people comfortably and is equipped to an exceptionally high standard. A short walk into Conwy with it's castle. Ideal location to explore North Wales including Snowdonia, Anglesey and only minutes from Llandudno and Deganwy. Suitable for walking, golf, sightseeing, sailing or just relaxing.

The property is spread over 3 floors with the lounge situated on the first floor with a juliette balcony overlooking the marina. It is appointed with oak style flooring, solid oak tables & leather sofas as well as a 40 inch flatscreen TV, Bluray player and complimentary Wifi for the few moments when you aren't captivated by the view!

The property is spread over 3 floors with the lounge situated on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the marina. It is appointed with oak style flooring, solid oak tables & leather sofas as well as a 40 inch flat-screen TV and Bluray player and complimentary Wi-fi for the few moments when you aren’t captivated by the view!

The dining room features a solid oak dining table & chairs for 8 people which is ideal whether you are eating together or just want to chat, work or play games.

If you really want to cook there is an oak style fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, double oven, fridge freezer amongst other things. A high chair is also available for our younger guests

The master bedroom is situated on the top floor with it’s own en-suite and views over the marina and features a king size bed, plenty of storage space and a 22 inch TV.

On the ground floor is a second kingsize bedroom with it’s own en-suite and patio doors that boast a magnificent view of the marina. This room also has it's own 22 inch TV.

The twin room is situated on the top floor and with ample storage space and it’s own jack & jill style ensuite including bath when the bunk bed room is not being used.

The bunk bed room is also situated on the top floor and includes quality mattresses that can accommodate an adult as well as special cool to touch lights for each bunk.

A travel cot is also available.

The property also has it’s own laundry room with separate washer & dryer.

Outside there is patio table and chairs to accommodate 8 people looking directly over the magnificent marina.

The North Wales / Denbigh/Flint/Conwy region

Located on Conwy Marina near the medieval town of Conwy, the perfect base for exploring North Wales with the Snowdonia National Park, the Victorian seaside towns of Llandudno & Deganwy and the Island of Anglesey close by. Conwy Marina sits at the bottom of Conwy Mountain, the start of the Snowdonia National Park, making it a perfect setting for outdoor activities including hiking, climbing and mountain biking.

There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy water sports of sailing, windsurfing and canoeing as the beach is a 5 minute walk. The fast ferry to Ireland only takes 90 minutes from Holyhead which is 40 minutes from Conwy by road or train.

The Conwy / Conwy Marina area

A very short 2 minutes walk that takes you to the beach and then there is the Conwy Golf Club with several excellent golf courses nearby and excellent marina pub restaurant The Mulberry.

Here we have the medieval town of Conwy, a World Heritage Site, which is a pleasant 15 minute riverside walk and is great for shopping, pubs, restaurants, tea rooms, museums, art gallery (free entry) and it's 13th century castle which overlooks the medieval streets and harbour, where the UK's smallest house is. Bodlondeb Park has tennis courts, walking trails, playground and cricket.

“Wonderful” We had a wonderful holiday in Conwy Marina and highly recommend this property as a base for exploring this lovely area of North Wales. The owner was helpful from the moment we contacted her to book the property, sending information and directions a few weeks before we set off, and a welcome text when we arrived. The house is clean, spacious and beatifully furnished and the location - on the marina front with a beach 2 minutes away on foot - is great for families. There's a lovely walk into old Conwy where you can visit the castle and the rest of North Wales is easily accessible via the North Wales Expressway. Our favourite day trips were to Llechwedd Slate Mines, Greenwood Forest Park and a whistle-stop tour of Anglesey (including the must-try Anglesey Syepping Stones!). Can't recommend this property highly enough and really hope we'll be returning soon.

“A true home from home in a great location” We did lots of Internet research trying to find self catering accommodation that was nicely furnished and would seem like a real treat rather than just somewhere to stay. It's fair to say we struck gold with this house as it really couldn't be faulted. Lots of effort had obviously gone into decorating the place and making sure it's well equipped with everything a family could need. The view across Conwy Marina is fantastic and we found it was an ideal place from which to visit the main attractions of north Wales. There is also a very good choice of restaurants nearby, particularly in Deganwy. And the owners of the house were able to put us in touch with a local babysitter so we could enjoy some evenings out knowing that our children were being well looked after. We'd highly recommend this accommodation and wouldn't hesitate before going back if we were visiting the area again.

“Cannot rate this home highly enough” Just returned from one weeks stay at Glan Yr Afon over the Christmas week. We have stayed in many holiday homes both in the UK and overseas and I can honestly say this has to be the best one yet for location and quality of accommodation. The design of the property and the decor were excellent and everything was there you could possibly want. There were 4 adults, 4 teenagers and two dogs there for most of the week and we never felt overcrowded. The wi-fi and large TV kept the teenagers entertained whilst us "oldies" enjoyed the views of the marina and the dogs numerous walks to the beach and into the town of Conwy. The owners are very friendly and helpful and you feel more like welcome guests in their home than customers.

“Great Place - pictures don't do it justice” We stayed for a weekend in November ; 4 adults and 4 children and this house was perfect for us. Great facilities, the large kitchen/living room is especially nice and having three bathrooms is a real bonus. We knew this place would be great based on tripadvisor but honestly the pictures don't do it justice. The spec of this place is really high and the view is amazing. When we arrived we found a bottle of cava and some welshcakes - a nice touch. I would definitely recommend and only wish it was a little cheaper in summer so we could come back when it's warm.

“Beautiful house in a great location with fantastic views” We stayed a week at Glan Yr Afon there were 5 of us in total including a 5 year old. The house is immaculate, homely and beautifully furnished to a very high standard. Upon arrival there was a welcome drink waiting for us with champagne glasses ready, which we thought was a lovely touch. We especially all loved the seaside theme of the house, tasteful pictures and ornaments. You would never tire of the fabulous view and only a short stroll around the Marina is a great pub serving good quality reasonably priced food and just a short stroll in the other direction is the beach. We would love to stay there again.

“Superb accommodation in a lovely location” Our group of friends stayed for a short weekend break and were all impressed by the quality of the accommodation. Lovely location, high quality furnishings and spotlessly clean. The owner was friendly and efficient with the booking arrangements, contacting me to check all was well on the first morning. Enjoyed it so much we have already planned a return.
