The North Wales region

Conwy is a seaside town on the north coast of Wales. It faces Deganwy across the River Conwy. Conwy is famous for its medieval castle and for this reason is a popular tourist destination. Stunning views over Snowdonia and the harbour form the backdrop to this designated World Heritage Site and walled town.

King Edward 1 built the walled town and the adjoining castle in the 13th century at the mouth of the River Conwy.

Things to do in Conwy:

There is so much to do and see in Conwy with its historic harbour, which is one of the largest recreational boating harbours in the whole of Wales accommodating leisure craft, a small commercial fishing fleet, mussel boats and a charter angling fleet and if you have your own boat you can launch it from here. Fishing, sailing, walking, horse riding, sandy beaches and three golf courses are all within easy reach.

Orielfa is superbly located, on the marina waterfront, with the golf course couple of minutes walk away and Langleys Spa nearby. The Mulberry Pub is at the other end of the front. This is an ideal base for golfing, walking (mountains & beach) driving to beautiful and senic Snowdonia range. Llandudno, the famous north Wales town with leading shops is approx. 6 miles away. Chester the historic Roman City is 50 miles to the east.

"Great base for staying in Conwy"

We stayed here for 3 nights at the back end of a Legoland Trip to Windsor. Coming from expensive cramped accomodation near London to Orielfa was a godsend. Absolutely lovely house, with plenty of room… More

"Stunning house & location"

Orielfa. I read all the reviews, on many sites, before booking this holiday let and truly thought it was too good to be true. Wrong. It was everything it said and more. I agree with every positive com… More

The house, facilities and the setting were amazing. We had a lovely time with plenty of room for everyone. The property was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and extremely well appointed.
The views over the marina and Deganwy from the front windows are gorgeous and the view of Conwy Mountain from the back is superb.
We walked 2 minutes to the Mulberry pub and had a nice meal, we walked 20 minutes into Conwy town and spent an hour pottering on the beach. The fact that you can walk to places easily is such a plus.
We had been left a bottle of white wine, some milk and tea etc on arrival. Lovely touch.
The owners have the heating on a timer and it went off during the day for a few hours. The house was still warm enough but I guess you would need to have that adjusted if the weather was any colder. Helpfully though we were given a number to call should we have any problems. Blissfully we did not.
We loved it so much we plan to go back in the summer.

"Excellent location, Perfect House, Wonderful Views, Great Weather"

Hired this house for family holiday with my children and grandchildren
Have stayed in Conwy many times but this house had it all. House was spotless, modern and well equipped. Ideally located for visiting all areas of North Wales but in the perfect position to leave the car on the drive and truly relax in this lovely town. Beach & Conwy Town within walking distance of the house and some of the best restaurants and pubs on your doorstep. The Mulberry being the closest offering excellent food overlooking the Marina.
We also took advantage of the patio garden of the house which overlooked the Marina and made use of the BBQ (Visit Edwards the award winning butchers in the town for first class produce ) The best part of this house I have left until last - The Balcony! The perfect place to enjoy early morning coffee watching the world go by and the glass of wine late evening taking in the twinkling lights of the Marina. Perfect holiday. We will be back next year!
Thank you Jitty & Rita for sharing your beautiful home .

"Amazing views and accommodation"

Returning for a second year we had high expectations and were not disappointed. The owners had installed wall mounted flat screen TVs in three rooms since our last stay and the accommodation was again immaculately clean. The house is modern, comfortable and very tastefully decorated; just perfect for our three- generations family getaway. The views from both sides of the property are stunning and the balcony means you can really enjoy the views across the marina. It's probably not too far to walk into Conway but with two young children we opted to drive as it literally takes 5 minutes and only about 15 to get to Llandudno. There's also a pub/ restaurant on the mariner so no need to get in the car to go out for a meal. Hope to return for a third visit next year!

"Picturesque & peaceful - great stay on the Marina"

We went with children and grandchild to this modern & well equipped town house. Rooms were clean and tidy with flat screen TV's in two bedrooms as well as a full sky package! Views from the living area were just beautiful and the houses' location was perfect! Conwy was also a perfect base for the family, plenty to do & lovely shops & cafes. We also visited Llandudno, Conwy Water Gardens plus Dutch Pancake house, Eirias Park Leisure centre, Bodnant Gardens, the Welsh Mountain Zoo, Signatures @ nearby Golf club!
Excellent stay and we'll definitely return!
