Villa lo Zingaro is a real find, located in the Natural Reserve Park Zingaro in Scopello. Situated on a hillside, the villa offers a commanding position with views across the bay and the surrounding countryside. Panoramic views of the entire coastline, from Punta Raisi Cape to the magnificence of the Faraglioni Cliffs in Scopello, are a sight to behold.

This well-appointed property has been decorated in a fresh and modern style which retains the character of the building and the surrounding area. The living room has a striking feature wall constructed using local stone, complete with an original stove and exposed wooden beams. Pass through an archway into the kitchen-diner with large dining table and all appliances, and French windows which lead onto the veranda. A laundry room leads from the kitchen.

This spacious villa has six bedrooms and four bathrooms. Five of the bedrooms have a queen sized bed and one has twin single beds. All bedrooms have air conditioning and satellite TV. Examples of the traditional Sicilian decorative style of glazed pottery, 'majolica', can be found in some of the bedrooms and the living room.

Villa Lo Zingaro has a garden full with numerous olive and carruba trees which are typical of those found in the Reserve Park. The swimming pool is in an area shaded with trees and has sun loungers on which to relax. Hammocks are also provided to while away the hours with a book. The villa's prime feature however, is the large veranda, which affords views down the hillside to the Mediterranean Sea, 1km away.

The Sicily region

With its fascinating beauty almost everywhere, lovely coastline, picturesque villages where you can test the excellent wine and authentic Sicilian cuisine, unspoiled nature and fashionable resorts, Sicily has everything you could possibly want for your holiday!

There are many places which are really worth visiting and spending time: Cefalu, Taormina and Mount Etna Europe's highest and most active volcano (3,323 meters) near Catania in the north east of the island, the majestic monuments in the Valle dei Templi (Valley of the Temples) of Agrigento, the beautiful Trapani area and Erice.

The coasts offer a landscape of fascinating beauty almost everywhere. There are hundreds of beautiful beaches, most famous are: Cefalu, San Vito lo Capo, Scopello, Taormina, Trapani, Pachino, Pozzallo, Marina di Modica and groups of marvellous smaller islands are scattered round the coast: the Aeolian Islands, the Egadi islands, the isle of Pantelleria and the Pelagie...

The west side of the island has beautiful scenery namely the Zingaro Nature Reserve (in the Province of Trapani), and the area of Monte Cofano with its ancient caves in Scurati. Between Trapani and Marsala, in the protected area of Stagnone, is the Via del Sale (The Salt Route) with windmills for processing salt, some of which are still operating, while others are set up as historical museums. An obligatory stop-off is the island of Mozia, once a Phoenician settlement, with the Withaker Archaeological Museum.
