About the home
The apartment is on the first floor accessible by lift or stairs with a lovely courtyard on the ground floor. It has two floors with two bedrooms - one double room with an en suite (bath) and the other a double bed and single bed with an en suite (shower). Both rooms have plenty of space for your clothes with wardrobes and drawers. There is a bathroom downstairs.
The kitchen/dining area has all mod cons with a dining table to seat 6 people. The sitting room has a leather couch and two chairs and has the added feature of an electric stove heater. Very cosy looking. The apartment is heated with storage heaters, so you can control them to your liking. There is multichannel TV and DVD player with a few kids DVDs but there is a video shop nearby.
The apartment is in the middle of Clifden in a secure quiet location yet near to shops/restaurants. A car would be needed if you wanted to travel around the area to beaches/golf club but if feeling energetic bicycles can be hired in Clifden.

In the summer its ideally located for all interests. Suit walkers/ golfers/ just interested in the countryside / families who want the beach and also just to be able to walk a few minutes to go for a meal or drink and be so close to home...
in the winter its quiet...nice to go for drives...wrap up and walk... have cosy night in.. cook something nice and watch a dvd ...or go to theatre/cinema in the station house and finish off with a nice drink in one of the local pubs warmed by a real fire...a peaceful getaway..a time to relax...read that book...spend precious time together in peaceful surroundings....

There is a parking space for one car, a lift up to the apartment and use of a lovely courtyard on the ground floor. There are secured gates with code for access to residents only.
There is a good children's playground at the end of the town.
There is a cinema/theatre located near the station house hotel great for the rainy days .

No perishable food to be left in fridge.
Tea/coffee/sugar/washing powder/dishwasher tablets provided but if you use it all please replace for next person.
Any breakages to be paid for.

20% deposit to secure booking non refundable if cancelled at short notice.
Price includes heating and electricity.
Weekly bookings welcome Saturday to Saturday.
Must be vacated by 12 o'clock for cleaning.

The west of Ireland is famous for its rural countryside with beautiful beaches in nearby Ballyconnelly and Roundstone. There are lovely areas for walking and hill climbing is very popular and the twelve pins are a challenge to anyone.
The weather in the west is lovely when it's sunny and wet when it rains, but there is nothing better than sitting in a cosy pub with a turf fire lighting and a cold pint of the black stuff - Guinness.
You can get a ferry over to Inisbofin Island and walk the island, have a bit of lunch, then back the same evening or maybe stay over. There is a good choice of restaurants in Clifden to meet all needs, young and old.
The Connemara / Clifden area
Clifden is a small town in Connemara co Galway. The town has lots of small shops and boutiques almost covering every need.
Local available activities include horse riding, sailing, walking, golf in Ballyconnelly golf club nearby, cycling, fishing, kids playground, cinema and theatre.

Fly - direct to Galway from UK using Aer Arann who don't charge any baggage fee... Or Aer Lingus/Delta Airlines/Ryanair.
Car hire - you can use either Avis, Hertz or Budget. The drive is 83 kms from Galway through beautiful west of Ireland countryside. Do watch out for loose sheep, with no road sense, on the roadsides nearing Clifden!
The motorway from Dublin to Galway has been fully opened reducing the journey time to 2 hours, which is great and then its a lovely drive of one hour to clifden through some fabulous scenery . it could take longer when you stop to take photos of breathtaking countryside.
Trains - Irish Rail.ie to Galway.
Bus transport - bus Eireann, city link or go bus.ie to Galway.from as little as e10 each way. non stop.
When you arrive in Galway, there are buses that travel direct to Clifden where the apartment is no less than around the corner.
