This elegant house has been designed with great attention to detail, blending a sophisticated countryside feel with a spectacular setting. Spacious rooms with high ceilings and open-plan living rooms boast unrivaled ocean views from all aspects. Decorated in an attractive style and using wood and marble flooring throughout, this "rather different" holiday home is tastefully furnished with comfortable antiques and old Irish pine. Each bedroom is individually appointed with top quality beds made up with crisp white cotton. The large sitting room centres around a big turf fireplace - a cosy setting for the evening time.

As you leave the super-large kitchen, you enter the long wide marbled hall off which there are four
bedrooms, a guest toilet and a utility room. The first bedroom has a wood floor and a large single bed with shower en suite. The second is the master bedroom, also with wood flooring, a king-size bed and full en suite. Next is a twin-bedded room (this converts to a super king-size if desired) which shares a shower room with the fourth bedroom, a double. The colour scheme throughout is soft and subdued and reflects the natural surroundings of the countryside.The beds are de- luke quality.

Situated on the shoreline, the house sits just 30 feet from the sea. There is ample private parking.
There is a lovely graveled area outside the kitchen, ideal for lounging , eating al fresco and watching the sun go down over the bay. There is easy access from the garden to the sea for swimming and water sports.

We will ask for a 30% deposit to secure your booking,with the balance due 56 days prior to arrival.
We will ask for a 300 euros security/damages deposit upon arrival.This will be refunded on departure.
We will ask for an extra 200 euros deposit in lieu of pets.

Connemara is world-renowned for its stunning and wild beauty. This region on the extreme west coast
of Ireland also has its own mountain range "The Twelve Bens". There are miles of deserted sandy beaches and fantastic walks. (Heritage walks and tours are available locally). This is a terrific area to explore and
a great base for touring the West coast from Sligo to Clare.
Clifden, a vibrant and cultural town, is a mere 5km drive away.
The Connemara / Clifden area
There are many local attractions aside from the stunning scenery and coast. Clifden town has a population of 2000 and has a great mix of shops, pubs, restaurants, theatre and a small cinema.
There are always events on in town, from traditional music, live bands, theatre shows, exhibitions, walking tours, pony fairs and local markets. Please see www.clifden.ie and www.connemara.net. We highly recommend Clifden Arts week in September for something special and the Jazz and Blues weekend on the June bank holiday.
There are many local activities, including a championship golf course, fishing, sailing, riding at nearby stables, pottery classes, art classes, heritage sites and shopping!

We are located just 5km from Clifden, the Capital of Connemara on the Claddaghduff road off the N59 to Westport.
Access by Car: Take the N 59 from Galway City (or Westport ) to Clifden and turn right up Church Road on to the N59 to Westport.
Airports: The nearest regional airport is Galway Airport, which is serviced by Aer Arann www.aerarann.com and has flights from Edinburgh, Luton, Newcastle and Manchester, and is approx 1 hour and 15 mins drive to Clifden.
Knock and Shannon International Airports are 2 and 3 hours respectively and are serviced by numerous international airlines.
There is also a train service from Dublin to Galway City, www.irishrail.ie

We decided to holiday in Ireland this year, and it was the best decision we've made! A really special house, stunning location, and nearby Clifden is perfect. I really cant recommend it highly enough as a holiday destination. We are a family of 4, 2 kids aged 2 and 8, and the grandparents stayed a few days too. The kids loved every minute, great beaches, loads of fishing, and for the adults a comfortable, beautiful home to sit with a glass of wine in the evening. Even just to look out the window from the kitchen was so relaxing. Already re-thinking next years plans so that we can take in another week here! The welcome pack was a lovely bonus! |
