Connemara

This beautiful cosy home attached to the owners residence with its own private access is 2.5 miles from Carna in the heart of Connemara 1.25 hours drive from Galway City. It is tastefully furnished inside with a cosy wood burner in the kitchen, spacious bedroom's and a fitted kitchen. Beach is only a stroll away whilst being on the doorstep of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland. A peaceful setting or venture to Roundstone, Clifden or Kylemore Abbey. You are centrally based for touring Connemara, Galway and even Sligo.

Carna village is located in the heart of Gaeltacht, an area where Irish is the everyday language. This is an area rich in ancient culture and tradition. The well-known Carna Loughs are a group of lakes in the Carna-Kilkieran district of south Connemara. They all hold brown trout and occasional sea trout. The sea trout run from mid-June and fishing lasts from then until the end of September or early October, depending on the weather.
