"Perfect location with a beautiful view"

My husband and I stayed at the Aisling Cottage in September. It was our most favorite place that we stayed. The owners put a lot of work into it, as it is well decorated and very comfortable. There is a beautiful view from the living room of a lake and mountains. Every utensil that you will need is in the kitchen, and there is a washer and dryer. They do have wifi, however you need to go outside into the driveway to access the signal. There are friendly cows right across the street too. Beds were very comfortable, and there's a nice big flat screen tv for when you need to sit and relax (and it has a million channels too). The owner Eileen was very pleasant and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here!!

"Excellent cottage - home from home"

We (two adults and two children under 5) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aisling Cottage.
As previous reviewers have said, the photos don't really do it justice.
The cottage itself is newly finished and very well equipped with everything you could need, with the added bonus of a treehouse, slide, sand pit and trampoline in the owners garden for the kids to play on.
The location is great – peaceful and quiet but with plenty of Connemara's attractions within a short drive – and the view out of the living room window of the Twelve Bens is stunning.
The owner Eileen is only next door should you need anything and was very helpful but not at all intrusive.
I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone looking to enjoy the delights of Connemara.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review, It really is appreciated, wonderful Guests and a warm welcome awaits for your return when you may pass this way again.

"Well designed cottage, fantastic veiws"

The photos shown do not do this cottage justice, the design and fittings of the cottage have clearly been well thought out. It has been very smartly furnished and is very comfortable, with all the kit needed to make a home from home for a family with kids (highchair, stairgate, DVDs etc). The use of the treehouse, slide, trampoline and other playthings in the owners garden was a great bonus with the kids.

The area is beautiful, a car (or bikes and a hardy constitution) are essential for enjoying the area but the beaches and coves are wonderful - clear water, white sand, fab sealife.

A great feature of this cottage is the way the sitting room has been designed around the fantastic veiw across the lake to the 12 Bens. The veiw can be enjoyed from the dining table but also while relaxing on the sofa with a glass of wine once the kids are in bed!

"Home from Home, Fantastic, Welcoming and Immaculate !"

We Received a Fantastic welcome from Karl and Eileen. The house is just great ! immaculate in a lovely quiet location. the open area around the house is fantastic for small children all enclosed and safe for our young ones and loads of space . they loved it. The house itself has everything we could have wanted, Very comfortable beds, and the VIEW is amazing, the mountains and the lake ! a different beach for every day !

we could not have chosen a better place for our holiday and will definitely be returning again next year. Thanks for a lovely time.

"Excellent location = wonderful vacation"

We arrived one soft summer's evening, and could just make out the lough in the valley below. Next morning we woke to bright skies and a glorious view of the 12 Pins of Connemara - what a location!
Aisling Cottage is modern, clean, and well-designed and equipped. There are separate bath/shower rooms for each of the 3 bedrooms - so no queuing - and the central heating was appreciated on chilly nights. Fresh fruit, milk and many basics were all ready and waiting for us. The owners are very helpful, even driving down to meet us at the junction when we arrived.
Great walking in the hills and a short walk over the causeway takes you down to Cleggan. Here you can catch frequent ferries to Inishbofin where there are bikes for island touring. So many other great places to visit : try the Sky Road out of Clifden at sunset. Good beaches, bars and sessions.
If you need to keep in touch with work and the Internet's a must, be warned - reception is patchy due to the remote location, but if like us, you want to get away from it all to flower-filled lanes and a brilliant Milky Way at night, you couldn't do better than Aisling Cottage.
