Anna is a 3-star,fully furnished, two bedroomed cottage. Set right at the sea's edge with a turf burning stove, it combines cosiness, with an unrivalled view of the historic St MacDara's Island and Mace Harbour. This cottage is suited for family holidays and touring groups, and is the ideal base for exploring and enjoying South and West Connemara, with its panoramic views of coastline, islands, inlets, hills and mountains.
The spectacular surroundings, rich in both flora and fauna are also ideal for fishing and birdwatching. The beautiful unspoiled white sand beaches at Moyrus and Mynish are also extremely popular with children. The house is the ideal base for a comfortable, restful and relaxing holiday, with so much outdoor activity on your doorstep.

The Connemara / Carna area
Bru Na Mara is 5 km South West of Carna village beside Mace Pier. Go through the village of Carna, take the first left turn after approximately 2.5 km west of Carna. At the next Y junction keep right and turn right at the next junction after approximately 300 metres. Continue down this road until you reach the house at Mace Pier.
Bru na Mara provides traditional yet ultra modern self-catering accommodation 'at the quiet end of Europe'. Ideal for cycling, hill-walking, rock-climbing, treeking, horse-riding, golf, pitch and putt, swimming, surfing, scuba-diving, canoeing, fishing, boating, sailing and sailing festivals. A haven for botanists, bird-watchers, artists and writers.
Renowned for Irish language, traditional singing, music, dance, pre-historic and mediaeval remains. Good food and drink available locally in a relaxed athmosphere. The area is famous for its lamb and seafood. Within driving distance of Roundstone, Clifden, Letterfrack,. Kylemore Abbey, Killary , Aran Ils.

From Galway City take the N59 (the Clifden road) to one mile west of Recess village. Turn left onto the R340 and continue to Carna Village. Drive through Carna village, heading west for aproximately 2 miles until you reach the first junction, then take a left, at the top of the steep winding hill keep right at the Y junction. After about 500 metres, turn right at the next junction, and continue until you reach Bru Na Mara at the pier where you can check in.
