Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, colour TV, DVD, radio, CD player. Fuel, power and 1 bucket of coal for the open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Off road parking for three cars. Small garden area 15 metres to rear of property with garden furniture. One well behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops and pub 2 mins walk. Note: The cottage is quite close to main through road and some traffic noise is audible at peak times.
The Cumbria/Lake District region
Explore the beautiful scenery, the coastal wildlife sites and the nature reserves on Walney Island – you’ll not be disappointed. Also, the beautiful Duddon Valley, immortalised by Wordsworth, and the award-winning gardens at Holker Hall should not be missed.
The Coniston area
The pretty village of Coniston is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the Lake District National Park. Nestling at the head of Coniston Water, this village makes a superb touring base with Ambleside, Hawkshead and Windermere just a short drive away. The wider area has some of the country’s best walking, mountain biking and climbing spots. All of these activities can be tried locally on Coniston Old Man and Wetherlam, or through the lovely woodland trails at Grizedale Forest. With the lake near by, water sports enthusiasts can enjoy dinghy sailing and canoeing, or if you’re in the mood for something a little more relaxed, visitors can enjoy a leisurely cruise on the beautiful steam yacht 'Gondola'. Beatrix Potter Gallery, Tarn Hows and the award winning village of Hawkshead are all close by making this an exciting, varied location.

,Nice accommodation to stay in, plenty of amenities and the views were outstanding! The Lake District is untouched and out of this world. The Sun Hotel does spectacular food. It's just lovely being up in the mountains/ hills away from it all, just yourselves, the wildlife, views and the sound of the waterfalls gushing. Absolutely beautiful place and we'll back for another holiday!

,The cottage was perfect and felt like a home from home. It was very well stocked with everything (and more) that you could need. Parking was excellent. The cottage was very quiet and peaceful although it was only a two minute walk to the village which was very handy. We would definitely stay here again!

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee per week or short break.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
