Set on the edge of the beautiful Grizedale Forest. The Kennels is a delightful semi - detached cottage in an an idyllic quiet setting. This former forestry workers' cottage is comfortably furnished and combined with plenty outdoor space in the large lawned garden - it is a perfect location for an active family holiday. Hawkshead is 3 miles away and Grizedale Visitor Centre only a short walk or bike ride through the woods with its playground, cafe, sculpture trails, mountain bike routes and GO-APE.

The porch leads into spacious hallway with staircase. The large open plan lounge/ dining room has 2 comfortable sofas and chair, electric stove effect fire, flat screen TV and DVD. There is also a CD/HiFi system. At the other end of this welcoming room is the dining area with large table and chairs - perfect for family meals. The compact fitted kitchen to the rear of the cottage includes an electric oven with hob, microwave and fridge. Beyond the kitchen is a ground floor shower room with basin and wc - perfect for cleaning up after a days mountain biking ! There is also large utility room with washing machine and freezer.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms . One spacious double, one twin and one single room which also has a small TV for watching videos. The upstairs family bathroom has a bath with shower over it and a basin and wc. The cottage is heated by oil central heating is very warm and cosy, ideal for use all year.

Outside the large south facing garden is enclosed (although there is a stile if guests want to explore the woods behind the cottage) and offers spacious lawns for children (and dogs) to play safely. There is garden furniture on a small patio and this a delightful place to enjoy the tranquility of the location. There is ample private parking for 3 cars adjacent to the cottage.
