The extended mature gardens are a treat with dramatic country side views across the Mendip hills, quite simply the perfect place to enjoy a summer time BBQ and a glass of wine. Both the wonderful beaches of North Somerset and Cheddar Gorge are within 5 miles offering the best of both worlds and the elegant spa town of Bath is within 45 minutes.

Arms Cottage is right on the edge of the village of Langford with its excellent
pub. There is a highly regarded restaurant within easy walk from the cottage
and a drive or stroll through charming countryside or along a river bank will
get you to Wrington or Congresbury Village pubs within 3 miles. Within a mile
there is a 24 hour local village shop.
cottage break at The Gardener’s Arms is complete without a visit to Cheddar
Gorge! Just fifteen minutes drive out, Cheddar Gorge rises to 450ft and spans
three miles long making it the biggest gorge in the UK! There are plenty of
activities to do here, from walking and cycling to the more extreme abseiling,
climbing and adventure caving!
cathedral city of Wells is around thirty minutes drive from your holiday
cottage location – explore its fascinating medieval past and the unspoilt 13th
Century cathedral in the heart of the city. Wells also has a bustling market
put on twice a week – perfect for picking up a bargain or two on your stay.
is a little further afield, and apart from being famous for its’ festival each
year, is a lovely bustling town with plenty to see and do. The ancient ruins of
Glastonbury Abbey was once one of the largest and richest Abbeys in England!
Take the time to stroll across the 36 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens
surrounding the ruins – in bloom the entire year round.
the town lies Glastonbury Tor; climb to the top of the hill and visit St
Michaels Tower whilst enjoying the most spectacular views over the Somerset
Levels. On a clear day you can see the neighbouring counties of Dorset to the
south and Wiltshire to the east.

at Weston - super – Mare and Burnham on sea are easily accessible being less

has some of the most stunning architecture in the whole of Europe. Just over 45
minutes from The Gardeners Arms cottage, enjoy a relaxing day at the Bath
Thermae Spa – home to the only hot springs in the UK!
retail therapy Bath has SIX shopping areas! From galleries, independent
boutiques to high street chains and designer shops, Bath really does have it
all. As well as plenty of museums, gardens and architecture to explore (don’t
pass up a trip to the Royal Crescent!) Bath makes for a great day out on your
holiday cottage break.
For golf, the
Mendip Spring Golf and Country Club is literally a five minutes’ drive away and
is set within 200 acres and has stunning views of the Mendip Hills.
