About the home

Our luxury ground-floor air-conditioned/heated apartment is beautifully furnished throughout to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for your holiday. There is a well-equipped kitchen for all your catering requirements. The master bedroom has its own sun terrace and all rooms have built-in double wardrobes with drawers for adequate storage. Linen and towels are provided and pool towels can be provided if needed. There is WiFi available if you wish to take your ipad/tabloid/laptop.

Relax on the sun terrace/garden where there is comfortable furnishing for your al fresco living and dining complete with a large awning for those who like to sit in the shade. The large pool is just a short walk through the gardens with a safe section for younger children. In the gardens next to the pool there is play equipment for younger children.

In the evening the gardens and pool are illuminated. There is a well-stocked supermarket and the restaurants/bar are just a 5 minute walk along the palm-lined avenue. A perfect holiday catering for golfers, couples and families alike. Onsite facilities include a gym, floodlit tennis, paddle, squash, basket & football courts, a golf driving range, practice greens and an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. The beautiful unspoilt beaches and coves of Mazarron Bay are just a 15 minute drive away.

The apartment will be in an ideal location for visiting the forthcoming Paramount Studios Attraction.

The Murcia region

The Costa Calida means Warm Coast and comprises of approximately 250 kilometres of Mediterranean coastline located in the province of Murcia. It extends roughly from El Mojon in the north to the resort of Aguilas in the south, the region to the north is called the Costa Blanca and the region to the south is known as the Costa Almeria. Heavenly beaches of endless white sand, lively ports and wild coves with crystal clear water, more than 3,000 hours of sunshine per year and mild temperatures even in winter with a yearly average of more than 20ºC. This is the Costa Calida, the ideal place to spend time relaxing both in winter and summer. There are lots of things to see and do. There are an abundance of excellent restaurants to sample the fine Murcian cuisine. The local diet is big on rice, fruit, vegetables and pulses as well as seafood and white meats. The area is known as la Huerta, Spain's market garden. Wheat, olives and vines produce the finest bread, olives and wine. There are fig and almond trees galore and orange, lemon and olive groves everywhere. Nearby is Cartagena which has a natural harbour. The port is rich in ancient and maritime history. The town is walled, the harbour defended by forts, and Roman ruins are scattered throughout. Explore the remarkable Roman Theatre dating from the 1st century BC. Take a tour on the Barco Turístico (Tourist Catamaran) and learn about the history of the harbour, its forts, local stories and legends. Visit the Mar Menor, Europe's largest lagoon, for an unforgettable swim or snorkel. Moorish Kings once came to Mar Menor to recharge their bodies in the warm, salty water. It is believed to have great curative properties for ailments such as rheumatism and arthritis. Murcia City is home to the beautiful Cathedral de Santa Maria located at the plaza del Cardinal Belluga. Right outside the Cathedral you will find the city hall and the Palacia Episcopal, the residency of the Bishop of Murcia. There are a variety of museums, from the archeological to the museum for water systems, to the museo de bellas Artes which shows art from Ballester and Gaya amongst others. Aqua Natura Murcia is a fabulous water park covering a total area of 30,000 m2. It is known as Zanzibar and aims to recreate the Indian Ocean island of the same name. The park is an ideal choice for a fabulous day out for both adults and children. Accessed via the A7 motorway and the main Murcia road. Terra Natura Murcia is another excellent place for children and adults alike. A new generation wildlife park divided into two themed areas – the African Savannah and the Iberian Peninsula. Visitors can see more than 300 animals from 50 different species, with over 500 examples of more than 50 species of trees, shrubs and plants. There is a range of shows, entertainment and adventure activities to add to your enjoyment. The Condado de Alhama / Jardines de Alhama area

Relax al fresco style on the comfortably furnished terrace and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the landscaped gardens and stunning rural and mountain views. When you want to cool off then it is just a short stroll to the large pool. In the evening you can sit on the terrace and watch the stars or have a safe stroll through the gardens. The more active may like to take advantage of the cycle hire on site and payable locally. Al-Kasar town centre is only a 5 minute walk along a beautiful palm-lined avenue. This is the central hub of Condado de Alhama, which is beautifully illuminated in the evening. You will find a well-stocked supermarket, a Bulgarian Restaurant & Pizzeria The Clover Literary Bar with comfortable outdoor seating, which also serves food, La Cata, restaurant/bar/deli, Sabores ice cream parlour and coffee shop and Bokoa Tapas Bar. The sports facilities include 2 outdoor football pitches next to Al-Kasar. There are also tennis, squash, paddle and basketball courts on site and a Gym situated next to the Condado Club where you can enjoy drinks, tapas & delicious freshly cooked meals including breakfast. Condado de Alhama is part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail. Jack Nicklaus has created 7 golf courses for Polaris World within a 25 km radius, 7 courses offering a different challenge every day. The fabulous 18-hole Signature Golf Course is now open for play. Future development is planned for two further Jack Nicklaus (Bear's Best)18-hole golf courses on site. Golf Tours will be available very soon. If you like the beach then a 15 minute drive will take you to the stunning unspoilt beaches of Mazarrón Bay. The area has a great variety of water activities, from sailing to wind and kite-surfing to water-skiing, scuba diving and kayaking. The new Marina at Puerto de Mazarrón offers cruises. The city of Alhama de Murcia is just a short drive away. Al-hama, meaning hot springs in Arabic. The most interesting corner of Alhama is in Plaza Vieja, at the foot of the ruined castle, which was originally a watchtower built by the Moors. Try visiting the interesting Los Baños archaeological centre, with its Arabic hot baths, located opposite the church of San Lázaro. At Alhama you will find the gateway to the Sierra Espuña Nature Park where you can enjoy fabulous walks, rockclimbing and cycling. The more adventurous may like to try horse riding or paragliding. There are several local markets which are very poular with the locals and tourists alike; On Sunday in Puerto de Mazarrón, on Monday in San Pedro del Pinatar, on Tuesday in Alhama de Murcia, on Wednesday in Totana, on Thursday in San Javier and on Saturday in Mazarrón. Why not plan your holiday to take in one of the local Fiestas Festival of San José is celebrated in Mazarrón 12th-20th of March- A huge bonfire is built on the beach and torch races are held on the maritime walk. Virgen del Carmen is a traditional procession held in Playa de Mazarrón - 16 of July. La Romería del Milagro de la Purísima held at Bolnuevo, where the routing of the Moors is re-enacted - 22nd of November. With so much to see and do we are sure you will fall in love with Murcia.

“Excellent appartment fantastic place” Stayed in this appartment for two weeks in August with my husband and three children 10,11 and 17 the appartment was beautiful and very clean and furnished to a high standard perfect location.

“We had a brilliant holiday” The apartment we stayed in Alhama de Murcia was excellently furnished and had all mod coms. We had a warm welcome and rooms are very comfortable. We had use of the terrace and large back garden. Its location is brilliant and has shops, restaurants and bars nearby. Not to forget the golf course and the swimming pool. the nearest beach in Mazarron is only a short drive away and the area is still unspoilt and authentic.
