About the home

This 2 bedroom apartment has a fantastic large roof-top solarium and is located with the large swimming pool and children's play area on your doorstep; Just a few minutes’ walk from the supermarket, sports area and restaurant / bar.

The apartment benefits from a shared pool, with a shallow end perfect for the children. Leading from the living room is a spacious terrace/balcony with stunning views into the Jardine and surrounding mountains; the solarium is furnished with a dining table and 6 chairs to enable you to dine al fresco in the warm evening summer sun. With two twin bedrooms, the apartment is ideal for families; there is plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

Open plan lounge diner with 3 seat leather sofa, 32" Flat screen TV with DVD player, wooden dining table and 4 wooden chairs, air-conditioning and the windows have either blinds of curtains. The front door leads to a small front terrace / balcony with table and chairs overlooking the Jardine and swimming pool.

Kitchen
Fully equipped kitchen with large fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, and everything else you would expect to allow you to eat in as much as you like.

Spacious bathroom with bath, shower over the bath, toilet, bidet and wash-hand basin with large mirror over.

Fantastic solarium that is over 50sqm - views in all directions including the orange groves to the East, Mountains to the West, Swimming Pool and Jardine to the South. A fantastic place to sunbath, relax and enjoy a nice glass of your favourite wine.

The Murcia region

The Murcia Region is a privileged land, a perfect example of quality of life in the Mediterranean. Its warm, mild temperatures (with an annual average of 21 C) and low rainfall make it an oasis of well-being in any season.?

The weather endows Murcia with a distinct flavour, making it a region full of life and colour, where springtime seems eternal.?A land where you and your family will be able to enjoy over 300 days of sunshine a year. Murcia's abundant clear and sunny days give the Region a highly distinctive, spectacular and warm Mediterranean light.

The Murcia Region, a rendezvous between two seas. Outstanding beaches of soft sand, clean water and dazzling sunsets. Known as the "Warm Coast", the Murcia Region shoreline runs just over 250 km and is shared by two seas: the Minor Sea (Mar Menor) and the Mediterranean. The landscape is peppered with breathtaking cliffs, heavenly secluded beaches of endless white sand, lively seaports and natural coves of crystal-clear waters.

Many of these areas are part of the Regions network of Protected Natural Lands. A noteworthy geographical feature is La Manga, a strip of coastline that encloses and separates the 170 km2 Minor Sea lagoon from the Mediterranean, connected only by channels or gorges.

The Minor Seas warm waters have always been renowned for their health benefits.?Areas of ecological interest are also found, such as the San Pedro del Pinatar salt flats and the Calblanque Natural Park. Reservoirs, rivers and two natural parks make the Murcia Region a clean and highly appealing area for tourism.

The inland areas of the Murcia Region offer a very rich heritage of natural landscapes and reserves. Dreamlike places that can be enjoyed by both those seeking peace and fresh air, as well as others who wish to supplement an intensive, active tourism offering with the respite of recreational areas.

Those looking to enjoy nature will find an activity that best matches their tastes: hiking trails, hill-climbing, on horseback or by foot. We'd like to recommend two not-to-be-missed alternatives. They are the Sierra Espuna and El Valle Natural Parks, which all can enjoy, whether seeking activities or relaxation.

The Condado de Alhama / Jardines de Alhama area

Condado de Alhama is primarily a golf resort however there is plenty to do on the resort, with more facilities scheduled to open in the coming months.

Just a five minute walk away from the apartment is the sports area. Here there are 5-a-side football pitches, tennis, squash and paddle courts all for hire at around three euros per hour.

In each garden (jardin) there is children’s play area and swimming pool.

Bicycle hire is available but it is advisable to book in advance - please contact owners for details.

A fifteen minute walk from the apartment is the new "Al Kasar" town centre that has the "Clover" Irish theme bar and an Italian and Spanish style restaurant plus a well stocked supermarket that is open all day. This is also the location of the Golf Pro Shop and Clubhouse until the purpose built one is completed. More facilities will be added as the resort develops.

The resort has 24 hour security at the entrance gates preventing public access to the residential areas, pools and resort facilities.

Places to Visit:

Shopping

There are excellent shopping areas in Murcia - Thader and Nueva Condomina which are large shopping malls with other attractions such as a cinema and ten-pin bowling. In Cartagena to the south, there is a large retail park with a shopping mall and cinema.

There is also a small development - Camposol - just a ten minute drive away with banks, a large supermarket and several English bars and restaurants. Opening hours for the supermarket are Mon- Sat 9.15am - 8pm Sunday closed. There is another small supermarket - Quicksave which is open all week and on Sundays until 4pm.

Cartagena - This ancient city is a 45 minutes drive to the south. There are many Roman remains to see and museums to visit. It is situated alongside a harbour which is a great place for a long, leisurely lunch or local boat trips. It is also good for shopping.

Murcia - This beautiful city is a 30 minute drive to the north. It boasts a fantastic cathedral and lots of bars and cafes. An ideal place to wander and soak up the atmosphere of a Spanish city.

Beaches:

Bolnuevo is a quiet seaside town approx 15 minutes drive away with a great selection of bars and restaurants and a beautiful, long sandy beach.

Puerto de Mazarron, approx 20 minutes drive, has a livelier, sandy beach with an exclusive marina and lots of bars and restaurants to choose from running along the palm tree lined promenade.

La Manga and the Mar Menor - beautiful beaches surrounding an inland sea, which means the waters are very safe for children.

Activities:

Parks - Aqua Natura - a seasonal water park with lots of rides suitable for all ages and it is next door to Terra Natura - a huge wildlife park set in beautiful gardens.

Aquopolis is another water park set slightly further away in Torrevieja near Alicante

Terra Mitica theme park with exciting rides for all ages is approximately 1 and half hours drive north, definitely worth a day out!

Sierra Espuna - a wealth of activities are available here from quad biking, walks and mountain biking.

Sierra Nevada - a 2 hour drive away. Fantastic for skiing in the winter months.

Fishing - There are lots of fishing opportunities in the area. Please note that in Spain, you do need a fishing licence.

Boat Hire - Explore the beautiful waters of the Costa Calida.
