About the home

Beautiful, 2 Bedroom first floor apartment with large Roof Terrace. Overlooking the communal pool and garden, in the new (private, gated golf resort) Polaris World 5* Resort of Condado de Alhama.

A balcony with private access to a large rooftop terrace that enjoys the sun all day long. Large pool with sun bathing, seating and children’s play area all just a stones throw from the apartment.

The Apartment is furnished to a very high standard with quality fittings. Fully fitted modern open-plan kitchen with oven, hob, extractor, fridge/freezer microwave, washing machine and is fully air conditioned.

The apartment has a balcony with table and chairs and private access to a large rooftop terrace with spectacular views of the mountains.

The roof terrace enjoys the sun all day long and has been furnished with sun lounges, table, chairs and BBQ to enable you to relax and enjoy a cool drink whilst watching the setting sun.

Step outside and you have a superb family shared garden and swimming pool, with separate children's pool.

The region is rich in towns and cities with historic buildings, street markets, modern shops and excellent Spanish cuisine and regional wines. Whether you are looking for a relaxed holiday by the pool and beach, serious golfing or action packed fun in the nearby Sierra Espuna national park, there is something here to suit all taste.

Located between Alhama de Murcia and Mazarron on Spain's fabulous Costa Calida Condado del Alhama has one championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, which opened early this year, with another two courses planned in the near future. There are 20 + other golf courses within a 30 minute drive, including the Jack Nicklaus Polaris World Trail. 6 golf courses located at Polaris World resorts.

The complex also has an indoor gym, floodlit tennis courts, squash courts, basketball/football area with a snack bar.

It also has it’s own town centre where you will find a super market, restaurants, bar and golf shop and much more to follow.

The canopied dining area comfortably seats 6, where you can enjoy alfresco meals while taking in the picturesque mountain views on all sides in the day and stunning sunsets at night. There is also a smaller outdoor area at the front of the property, perfect for breakfasting or relaxing with a glass of wine in the shade.

Communal Swimming Pool and Mountains ahead

The Murcia region

The Costa Calida is situated in the South Eastern corner of Spain within the region of Murcia. The picturesque coastline stretches for 170km from La Manga in the North to Aguilas in the South.

The region benefits from the mild Mediterranean climate with over 300 days of sunshine a year, hot summers and mild winters.

Beautiful and unspoilt beaches, with tiny coves and spectacular rock formations, are only a 20 minute drive away
at Bolneuvo and Puerto de Mazarron, where you'll find an abundance of water sports and lively nightlife.

To the south you will find spectacular unspoilt coastline as you head towards Puerto De Mazarron and beyond, with lovely villages such as La Azohia with its sandy beaches. The town of Mazarron has a heritage of mining and seafaring. Puerto De Mazarron offers superb beaches, secluded coves, an abundance of water activities, plenty of restaurants and an active nightlife.

The Sierra Espuna mountain ranges are a 10 minute drive away, offering hiking, quad and mountain biking, kayaking, parascending and rock climb

The Condado de Alhama / Jardines de Alhama area

Condado de Alhama is primarily a golf resort however there is plenty to do on the resort, with more facilities scheduled to open in the coming months.

Just a five minute walk away from the apartment is the sports area. Here there are 5-a-side football pitches, tennis, squash and paddle courts all for hire at around three euros per hour.

In each garden (jardin) there is children’s play area and swimming pool.

Bicycle hire is available but it is advisable to book in advance - please contact owners for details.

A fifteen minute walk from the apartment is the new "Al Kasar" town centre that has the "Clover" Irish theme bar and an Italian and Spanish style restaurant plus a well stocked supermarket that is open all day. This is also the location of the Golf Pro Shop and Clubhouse until the purpose built one is completed. More facilities will be added as the resort develops.

The resort has 24 hour security at the entrance gates preventing public access to the residential areas, pools and resort facilities.

Shopping

There are excellent shopping areas in Murcia - Thader and Nueva Condomina which are large shopping malls with other attractions such as a cinema and ten-pin bowling. In Cartagena to the south, there is a large retail park with a shopping mall and cinema.

There is also a small development - Camposol - just a ten minute drive away with banks, a large supermarket and several English bars and restaurants. Opening hours for the supermarket are Mon- Sat 9.15am - 8pm Sunday closed. There is another small supermarket - Quicksave which is open all week and on Sundays until 4pm.

Cartagena - This ancient city is a 45 minutes drive to the south. There are many Roman remains to see and museums to visit. It is situated alongside a harbour which is a great place for a long, leisurely lunch or local boat trips. It is also good for shopping.

Murcia - This beautiful city is a 30 minute drive to the north. It boasts a fantastic cathedral and lots of bars and cafes. An ideal place to wander and soak up the atmosphere of a Spanish city.

Beaches:

Bolnuevo is a quiet seaside town approx 15 minutes drive away with a great selection of bars and restaurants and a beautiful, long sandy beach.

Puerto de Mazarron, approx 20 minutes drive, has a livelier, sandy beach with an exclusive marina and lots of bars and restaurants to choose from running along the palm tree lined promenade.

La Manga and the Mar Menor - beautiful beaches surrounding an inland sea, which means the waters are very safe for children.

Activities:

Parks - Aqua Natura - a seasonal water park with lots of rides suitable for all ages and it is next door to Terra Natura - a huge wildlife park set in beautiful gardens.

Aquopolis is another water park set slightly further away in Torrevieja near Alicante

Terra Mitica theme park with exciting rides for all ages is approximately 1 and half hours drive north, definitely worth a day out!

Sierra Espuna - a wealth of activities are available here from quad biking, walks and mountain biking.

Sierra Nevada - a 2 hour drive away. Fantastic for skiing in the winter months.

Fishing - There are lots of fishing opportunities in the area. Please note that in Spain, you do need a fishing licence.

Boat Hire - Explore the beautiful waters of the Costa Calida.

Budget airlines including Easyjet, Ryanair and Monarch fly into San Javier (Murcia) and Alicante airports from the UK and Europe.
