Tighnablair cottage is situated in the Southern Perthshire heather clad hills. The cottage sits at 1000 ft 4 miles from Comrie a thriving busy village with a good range of shops including grocers, baker, butcher, florist, delicatessen, haberdashery, pet shop, restuarants and take away. Also a Dentist, health centre and First Response Team. There are always activities taking place in the village the highlights being the Comrie fortnight July/ August and the Flambeaux torch light parade for New Year .Loch Earn is 20 mins with fishing and water sports. Golf is in abundance with Comrie, St Fillans, Muthill, Crieff and Gleneagles. It is a lovely area for Walking, cycling and mountain biking for all abilities including an all abilities path in Laggan wood Comrie. Situated at the gateway to the Highlands and 10 minutes from the A9 we are truly in the centre of Scotland.
Tighnablair is a birdwatchers paradise with many varieties of small birds but also Birds of Prey. Hill walking is on the doorstep as is the river for a paddle or a dip or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet away from it all. Scottish Blackface Sheep can be available for Sheepdog training for experienced dogs only. The cottage is set in its own garden and this is securely fenced children and pets are welcome. It is a working farm so farm activities can be observed. Auchingarroch Wildlife Park is 5 mins and a great dayout with all types of animals.
