The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

Although Competa is a peaceful rural village it is only a 25 minute drive from the major coastal resort towns of Nerja, Torrox and Torre del Mar and only 40 minutes drive to Malaga all of which offer restaurants, shops, sightseeing and the beautiful beaches of the Costa del Sol.

The local area has many traditional Andaluc�an villages and Lake Vinuela is only a short mountain drive away. For the more adventurous. Cadiz, Gibraltar and Granada are all within a 2 hour drive with good motorway connection.


Competa area

A traditional small white Moorish village with lots of charm and character, bordering the national park with breathtaking views from the Sierra de la Almijara mountains all the way to the coast. It is a thriving, vibrant village, full of old Spanish customs where many north Europeans have settled giving a pleasant cultural mix.

The village is well served with shops, bars and restaurants, yet unblemished by tourists, fast food eateries and exorbitant prices. It is indeed a wonderful place to have a holiday away from the stresses and strains of today�s world and what could be better than sitting in the Plaza Almijara drinking a �caf� con leche� or a �cerveza with tapas� whiling the time away chatting to friends and locals in the fresh mountain air, under clear blue skies and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Throughout the year the village stages many religious and cultural events which play a major part in village life and are worth attending.

The village has a good frequent local bus service to the coastal resort of Torre del Mar. It is only 45 minutes by car from Malaga airport which is serviced by many UK budget airlines such as EasyJet, Ryan air, BMI Baby, Monarch, Jet2 and several others all of which generally offer discounted car hire deals through their associated companies.

Bedroom one: furnished with a double bed bedside cabinets with lamps built-in large wardrobe and cupboards, there are also patio doors to a small balcony, the bedroom has an en suite shower room with toilet, hand basin and vanity unit and large shower.
Bedroom two: furnished with two single beds and bedside lockers with lamps and patio doors to small balcony.
Main bathroom: full size bath with shower unit, toilet and hand basin with vanity unit.
All rooms are fitted with ceiling fans. The apartment has been decorated in a pleasant and simple way with all new furniture and fittings.
