Casa Joven is situated in the beautiful and quiet hills of the Axarquia county in Malaga. With a magnificent location on a hill side, the property enjoys spectacular views of the mountains and the countryside. It is a peaceful and quiet villa, surrounded by vine yards, olive and almond trees. On a clear day the coastline can be visible. It’s an ideal retreat, convenient for the picturesque local Moorish and historic villages, such as Competa and Canillas de Albaida, where you will find all amenities such as traditional Spanish restaurants, shops, tapas bars, supermarkets, local markets, etc. Further away (45 mins drive) is the traditional village of Frigiliana considered one of the most beautiful villages in Andalucia and visiting should be a must.
It is also a popular base for the beaches of Nerja, Torrox Costa and Velez Malaga as well as to enjoy activities such as horse riding, walking, cycling, painting or stars watching.

The property is built in the traditional style of an Andalucian villa and was completed in February 2005. By the standards of a modern Spanish villa it is extremely spacious. This holiday villa has two spacious double bedrooms (1 en-suite) and a smaller twin room. The open plan kitchen has a breakfast bar and the lounge has a feature fireplace. The Villa is fully equipped with air conditioning/heating, washing machine/dryer, dish washer, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and Satellite TV (one in the lounge and one in the master bedroom).

This holiday villa counts with a private plot of land with olive trees and vine yards. It also has has a big private pool with spectacular views of the hills and the mountains (measures 30 feet by 13 feet). At the deep end it is 6 feet deep.
The grounds of this Spanish villa are spacious, private and secluded with plenty of room for sunbathing. It also counts with a BBQ, pool shower and swimming pool pump and store house. Perfect for relaxing and dining "al fresco" in the evenings.
The Andalucia / Malaga Province region
Inland from Nerja and the Mediterranean Sea, you will find the county "La Axarquía". The road meanders through low valleys planted with semi-tropical date palm and kiwi, chirimoya and avocado, mango and molasses, then the landscape becomes a gentle vista of rolling hills and almond, olive and lemon.
Above all, this is a land of sun and enjoys one of Europe's warmest and sunniest climates ( the temperature rarely drops below 10º C, even in January) you can be swimming in early spring and late autumn, and sitting or walking under marvellously clear blue skies during 320 days of the year.
For nearly 800 years the Moors dominated this land, developing science and literature. Their mosques and minnarets still rise above the white villages. Today, of course, they are churches and bell towers, but you will sense the spirit of the former rulers, unmistakeably present in both architecture and atmosphere of the streets and squares and in the philosophic "Que será, será" attitude of the people.
The Competa / Canillas de Albaida area
Competa and Canillas de Albaida are the closest villages, just a few minutes drive from Casa Joven. Located seven hundred metres above sea level with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, countryside and Mediterranean, these villages are best known to many for its locally produced wine, available both dry and sweet, as well as being plentiful and cheap. One of the most popular annual fiestas in Competa is the Noche del Vino (Night of the Wine) on the 15th August which features a programme of flamenco and sevillana music and dance, plus plenty of free-flowing vino

Spanish villa rental is extremely easy to arrange. The villa is available for rental throughout the year. We prefer weekend to weekend bookings. Mid-week to mid-week bookings will have a 15% supplement charge. Like most Spanish holiday villas, we require a deposit. Payments are made in advance and can be done through a bank transfer. We will ask for a 20% non-refundable payment in order to secure the reservation
