About the home

Perfect for a relaxing holiday for families and couples, Cortijo del Seba is a private 3 bedroom villa, yet within walking distance of restaurants and bars. Gorgeous views all round the property of mountains and Archez village. The house has a 7m private pool, which is fenced off from the house and terrace, making it safer for children. Within 30 minutes drive is the beautiful beach resort of Nerja.

All windows have insect screens and blinds.

Further details outdoors:
No dirt tracks (unlike some villas in this area). Walking distance from Archez village for food shopping, restaurants and bars. Take the steep road at the side of the house for the shortest route. Wear flat shoes! On the edge of national park area, beautiful walks into the mountains.

Local restaurans include La Venta our local bbq restaurant with a terrace near the river and La Pena with simple, cheap and delicious Spanish dishes. There are also 2 local cafe bars, all within walking distance. In nearby Canillas d'Albaida (30 minutes walk, 5 mins in a car) is La Plaza, one of the best restaurants in the Competa area, and other simple Spanish cafes as well as a large swimming pool and pool bar. Competa, 10 minutes drive away, has over 30 bars and restaurans, plus a supermarket and banks. Market on the square on Saturdays. Cashpoint in Competa.

Explore the beautiful whitewashed villages of rural Andalucia with their many fiestas and celebrations of local wine, food and flamenco or just sit back and relax.

For a more active holiday visit the Aquapark at Torre del Mar, multiplex cinmea, or go horseriding in the mountains.

We prefer Saturday changeovers, however outside of summer holidays we are more flexible, so please email us to discuss.

Arrival 3pm or later (you may leave your luggage at the house prior to 3pm). Check out at 10am.

We require 30% deposit to confirm your booking. The remainder is due 4 weeks before departure. We trust our guests to look after our villa as if it were their own, we will seek compensation for any substantial breakages or damage.

No smoking inside the property please.

The pool is unheated and available from May to October.

The Andalucia / Malaga Province region

This area of the Costa del Sol must be one of the most beautiful. Slightly cooler in the summer months than the coastal resorts, it benefits from a slight mountain breeze, very refreshing when it is 30 degrees plus in the sun. There is beautiful mountain scenery everywhere and tiny whitewashed villages, very Spanish, with locals farming their olive trees and ploughing fields with horse-drawn ploughs. This is the real Spain. Yet the coast is just down the mountain, about 25 minute drive away. You have Spanish resorts like Torre del Mar with its huge beach and beach front bars selling freshly grilled sardines and more British style resorts (but still classy) like Nerja with its selection of beaches - Burriana being the best. Torremolinos and Benalamedena are an hour's drive away.

The Competa / Archez area

Our villa is set 10 minutes walk from Archez village, famous for its XV century Mudejar tower. It is one of the most beautiful little white washed villages of Andalucia. The village has 400 inhabitants, but several places to eat and drink, all within walking distance of the house. Famous for its wine made from raisins, avocados and almonds, all of which can be bought in a local shop, as well as eggs, bread, fruit, cheese and ham - everything you need for a picnic at one of the local beauty spots. The local bodega sells Archez wine very cheaply, and you can pop in for a tasting. Visit Competa for shopping, or tour the other white washed villages for gentle strolls and tapas on the squares. There are Roman bridges to cross, rivers to wade in, goat paths to follow and mountains to climb. If you crave activity go down to the coast for the aquapark, boat rental, and other beach activities. If its raining then visit Nerja's famous caves or pop into the shopping centre near Velez Malaga for some leather goods, and labels like Mango and Zara, much cheaper than at home.
