Villa Palmeras is a new and modern 3 bedroom Villa with private Swimming Pool, Air-Conditioning (hot/cold) in all 3 bedrooms and living/dining room. This Villa and is only 1 hours drive from Malaga-Airport, accessed by a tarmac road, and situated in the beautiful countryside between the traditional white villages of Competa, Sayalonga and Archez, which retain their local character and are fairly unaffected by tourism.
Unlike many properties in the area have long tracks, this Villa is only 200 meters from the Sayalonga / Competa road, so there is no long driving over difficult tracks.
The location is private with its own and private swimming pool, BBQ, sun terraces, pergola-terrace, landscaped garden with palm trees and flowers. The location offers panoramic views to the mountains, the sea, and the surrounding villages.
At the entrance of this property there is a wrought iron gate, leading into a large paved patio area, with access to the Villa and to park your car. This Villa has 3 bedrooms (1 En-Suite) all with air-conditioning (hot/cold) and double beds, a total of 2 bathrooms with underfloor-heating, living/dining room with air-Conditioning (hot/cold)and a fully equipped and modern kitchen with a ceramic hob, cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
This Villa has its own private pool, which is placed along the Villa and balustraded sun-terrace. The pool has underwater lighting and roman style steps. This area also includes the al fresco dining area, large traditional Spanish terracotta sun-terrace, pergola and BBQ area. There are sun loungers for you to use, either by the pool terrace or at the more shaded pergola-terrace area.
This Villa is perfect for enjoying the local small white villages, the excellent value of the local restaurants, visits to the historic places of Andalusia, walking in the mountains, or just relaxing by the pool. As the beaches are only 20 minutes away, you may cenjoy a few days on the sandy or rocky beaches at Nerja, Torrox Costa or Torre del Mar. There are also excellent and long promenades, to walk along the costas.
The ideal place to relax, taking in the amazing views of the sea, mountain and the white washed villages.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The villa is situated one hour drive from Malaga / Eastern Andalucia, 30 mins from Nerja and 20 mins from the coast. La Axarquía is the region of Málaga in the eastern part of the province of the same name, bordered by the Montes of Málaga, the Comarca of Antequera, the Province of Granada and the Mediterranean Sea. This comarca, or region, is full of contrasts.
The area is diverse in its offerings to the holidaymaker, from the beautiful and unspoiled countryside to the long beaches, top class golf courses located just 25 mins away. There are restaurants, that cater for every taste and pocket. There is a water park (Aqua Velis) in Velez-Malaga that offers a day of family fun.

Competa area
Villa Las Palmeras is just a few minutes drive from the white washed villages of Competa, Sayalonga and Archez, known locally as the 'Pearl of the Axarquia', and easily approached by a good tarmac road. The village of Competa has many bars and restaurants, offering excellent tapas and meals at low prices.
The area of Competa has one of the best climates in Europe, and the land surrounding the village and down to the coast is filled with vineyards, olive, almond and lemon groves, tropical fruits such as avocado, mango, oranges, lemons. The village is situated 50 km east of Malaga and approximately 16 km from the coast with a population of about 3.400 inhabitants. It is situated on the route of sun and wine. The main agricultural product is the grape, and the wines of Competa are some of the finest in the whole province. The village has retained it's original Moorish structure with the white fronted houses and an interesting contrast is the brick tower of the Parish Church of La Asuncion. There is also the nature reserve, a perfect example of the beauty of this region. This medium sized village is surrounded by delightful olive groves and almond blossoms, and a 4.000 hectare wide wildlife reserve.
Competa itself boasts a host of entertainment: there are is a modern swimming pool, local bodegas, riding stables, several craft boutiques and more than 30 bars and restaurants where you can taste the famous Vino de Cómpeta, Sangria and a great variety of tapas.
This tranquil village provides the ideal place for those who are seeking a less stressful lifestyle in one of the best climates in Europe. The Sierras lie to the North and the wide expanse of the Mediterranean to the South. The area is immersed in the history of past civilizations. The visitor to Competa will find the sights, sounds, colours and scents of its Arabic ancestry integrated into the everyday life of its inhabitants. The winding streets and traditional houses still reflect the influence of the Carthaginians, the Romans and the Moors.
