About this location
The Andalucia region
Andalusia is the "mother" of the Spanish folklore which is probably best known abroad: here you will live the magic of Flamenco and bullfighting in their most authentic style, and myths like Don Juan and Carmen were born here. A land of great traditions, which has understood as well to assimilate the progress.
Situated to the east of Málaga, the Axarquía, offers the visitor much more than one could imagine. With only 1.000 kms.², the Axarquía is a whole world. Beaches with transparent waters. Solitary coves. Cliffs. Entertainment centres, hotels, restaurants, bars, discotheques, golf courses, airport, marina... And from the sea to the mountain. Unwonted spots. Reservoir, rivers. Sierras of indescribable beauty. White villages. Friendly people. And all to be discovered.
A great way to discover this region is by traveling some of the routes declared Tourist Interest of Andalusia, like the Sun and Wine Route and the Mudejar Route.
You can see a list of the many typical fiestas and festivals that take place in the villages of the Axarquía throughout the year in the website absoluteaxarquia(dot)com.
