30 mins drive to the lovely holiday beach resorts of nerja - torrox costa - torre del mar.

The Competa area
Competa has real Spanish character with its small picture postcard plaza square where you can sit, have a drink and tapas or a tasty meal, very friendly place, and very well priced drinks and food.
You can take a 20min scenic drive down the mountain road to the lovely beaches.

Just what the doctor ordered, I took my family (partner, three boys, 10,3,4) to this villa. First time in that part of Spain for all of us. We stayed for a week and overall had a wonderful time. It was perfect for our short stay, with a spacious lounge, swimming pool, privacy and great views . We stayed end of May 2011 and the weather was fairly warm at peak times of the day but nicely cool in the evenings. A couple of day we had rain but it was still very mild, so not a problem. Nearby Competa is a nice little town although we didn't really explore the area much as we spent most of our days out with the kids in other areas of Spain or just days lounging at the villa, but the drive to and from the villa through the mountains has some amazing views. All in all, I would recommend this to friends and other people wanting a nice quiet break in a lovely part of Spain. |

june was a lovely month out there we stayed in this villa for 3 weeks 10 out of 10 we dident want to go home , we even phoned mike to see if we could extend it for a week , we were so impressed we booked again for a week in sept and got a discount !! a big thankyou to mike and sarah see u again phil and louise

everything was as advertised we had a wonderful time the children loved the pool and he was so nice to have the pool and terrace all on the same level so we could sit at the bar enjoying food and drinks whilst watching our children in the pool . we will be back the robinsons july 2008
very spacious villa loved the main beedroom with terrace , great views , we stayed in august and were very impressed with the design of the high ceilings in the villa which seemed to keep cool in the nights

great great great holiday the owners were very helpful and we loved the location and the position of this villa , sunsets every night , sipping cocktails at the poolside bar with the barbi alite , seeing the sun drop down behind the mountain , absolutely fantastic , we stayed in september and its the best place we,ve rented " and we have been to loads "

again for september weather fantastic warm sunshine all day right up until 8.30 pm however my wife did enjoy sitting under the shady terrace to read her book in the afternoons , this villa is all about location location i even walked into the local village of competa one morning i found a shortcut and a little bar 1/2 way there , ordered a beer and got a complimetary tapas dish free , the local bars are so friendly and great value this is the place i would like to retire too . JULY 2009 10 OUT 10 , WE loved the master bedroom with its own little terrace , great views, very peacefull idylic place , locals very friendly and typically spainish , this place is in what i call real spain ,, horses , goats , and little bars giving free tapas with your drink, the villa was extreemly well equipped , we ate out a lot the restuarants were superb and excellent value , after looking around the place "i think we stayed at the best villa" fantastic will be back ,,, Jack and family

very clean and great views nice and peaceful , found some great liitle bars in competa ,, this is place is in real spain you can see the goats on the raod and horses tied up outside the local pub !!
