Situated in the perfect location next to the National Park, and with views down to the sea our apartments offer the perfect stay for anybody either looking to relax, or take advantage of the incredible countryside surroundings of this area. Surrounded by lush campo famous for its almond, olive and lemon trees, the sierra almijara offers the opportunity to see and live a different kind of life. With local facililities including pony trekking through the the Sierra Almijara Mountain ranges, quad biking excursions, walking tours, and paragliding, to name just a few.
We are more than happy to help organise your perfect stay, (even if this is a less active one).Many local services offer at home accupuncture, massage and reiki services and there is even a locally sourced catering company who can come to the apartments to help you celebrate a special occasion without having to worry about cooking!

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The well known region of the ´Costa del Sol´ has everything to offer: Good food, good climate and excellent ´fiestas´ only a 2 hour flight away from the UK and other major european countries.
With beautfiul beaches, spectacular surrounding mountain regions and many a historic city to visit including Malaga,Cordoba, Sevillle, Granada and Cadiz to mention a few, this region caters for all. For entertainment and relaxation this region is also famous for its many golf courses and resorts, and offers a vast selection of shopping opportunities and spas for total relaxation. Competa / El Portichuelo area

Bordering the national park leading to the breathtaking Sierra de la Almijara, Competa is a perfectly situated traditional white-washed mountain village. Whilst still retaining its traditional charm and character, it also caters for holiday makers with its numerous locally sourced bars and restaurants. From the main `plaza´ you can enjoy regional tapas whilst watching the world go by, or perhaps even catch a local wedding in the church.

From the bars in the main square you can also get the best view of the many religious events that still take centre stage in this town, with `The Semana Santa´ or `Holy Week´ Parades at Easter being an event not to be missed!

We are also close to the well-known resort of Nerja, whilst the stunning Lake Vinuela is just a mountain drive away through the hills. By car you can explore the famous white villages of Andalucia or easily visit the ski-ing resort in the Sierra Nevada during the winter months, only 2 hours away.

Malaga airport is a 40-minute drive away and the newly developed Granada Airport is becoming more and more accesible with the opening of the new motorway, and offers cheap flights to many UK destinations.

How to get there

Only 40 minutes from the airport, the town of Cómpeta is situated in the perfect location. Many budget airlines such as flybe and easyjet who fly straight to malaga offer discounts on their sister car hire companies here. Or if required, we can organise airport transfers back to the apartments.
Buses also run frequently to malaga, from where you can get a bus straight to the village of Cómpeta, and from the village back down to coastal towns such as Torre del Mar and Nerja. Each apartment is equipped with information of local bus services & taxi numbers, and we are always here to ask for further information.

Our newly built apartments are decorated in a clean simple way to make life easier during your stay. However we can also organise any other furniture needed for families, such as cots and highchairs etc.

For winter guests, we have installed central heating, to make your stay with us as enjoyable and comfortable off season, as in the height of summer. Both apartments are also well equipped with dvd players and brand new ovens to enable you to plan cosy nights indoors if it gets too cold outside!

Further details outdoors:
As stated the apartments both have a lovely terrace with stunning views of the village of Competa, where you can relax with a drink while topping up your tan, or come home after a day of sightseeing to a candlelight BBQ whilst gazing up at the stars.

Welcome packs are provided as standard, listing all the best restaurants and amenities in the village. We have also teamed up with a local supermarket to offer you the chance to order your food and have it delivered straight to the apartments. A service can also be provided to have your food order awaiting your arrival. So if you are going to arrive in the early hours, or you just want to be prepared to start your holiday as soon as you arrive, then please email us to arrange.

Families are more than welcome and both apartments can be rented at the same time (subject to availability)

There is always an English spoken member of staff close by should you need any help or assistance.

To secure the booking we ask for a deposit of 50 euros, and the remaining payment upon arrival. For a two week stay or longer a discount is available. For example: two weeks rental 450 euros instead of 500 (saving of 50 euros).
