Places worth visiting are the Cathedral and Picasso Museum, both in Malaga and the Magnificent Medieval Alhambra Palace in Granada.
Although you are in a tranquil and beautiful setting, there are plenty of beaches approximately 20 minutes from Sayalonga.
Sayalonga is a picturesque white washed village comprising of restaurants, bars and museum. There is 3 day festival in July (feria), Nispero Festival (in May). Semana Santa (Easter) festival amongst others. This is a great area for exploring the countryside with many guided walking routes.
Nerja, Torre del Mar and Torrox costa are all close by where you will find lovely beaches and restaurants. Nerja Caves, which were discovered by two young boys in the 1950's, are the largest in Costa del Sol.These are a must to visit.
The Balcon de Europa which is the former site of an old Moorish castle, it holds wonderful views of the landscape and dramatic coastline.
