Casa Rey apartment is a self-catering accommodation on the ground floor of the owner’s main residence. It is situated approximately 7 mins drive from Cómpeta with it's excellent selection of tapas bars and restaurants. It is only 35 minutes to the coastal resort of Nerja and 25 minutes to Torrox Costa. The property backs onto the Parque Natural of La Sierra de Tejeda, which is easily reachable by foot for those who enjoy walking and exploring this beautiful part of Axarquia. Use of the owner's private swimming pool during the summer months. As the owners run a shop in the village usage for most of the day is exclusive.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Competa is only a 25 minute drive to the coast and Torrox Costa with its long promenade running along the sea front. Torrox Costa has the honour of having "El mejor clima de Europa" - The best climate in Europe. The coastal resort of Nerja with its excellent beach at Burriana is a 35 minute drive away where you can also visit the famous Nerja Caves. A visit to Granada and the Sierra Nevada is a scenic 2 hour drive away with perhaps a refreshment stop in La Herradura on the Costa Tropical. A visit to Malaga city would only be an hour's drive or there is a coach which can be taken from Competa direct to the city centre. Torre del Mar, as well as being a coastal town, has excellent shopping as does the shopping centre close by at El Ingenio with its cinema and restaurants.
Competa area
Competa is a typical white Andalusian village in the mountain regions of Sierra de Tejeda and Almijara. It has a picturesque square with its ancient church and a wide choice of tapas bars and restaurants in the village and surrounding villages. It is ideally placed for those who enjoy the outdoors and offers excellent walking, mountain biking, trails bike riding and horse riding in the spectacular national park. Competa is famed for its wine and has an annual wine festival (Noche del Vino) on 15th August every year.
How to get there
