Villa Gabriella is located in the picturesque village of Pognana Lario, just minutes from Como Centro. On the Bellagio side of the lake, Villa Gabriella receives sun throughout the day with picture-postcard views. Our villa boasts a private entry with easy access, off street parking and is located in a very quiet cul de sac. We have two private balconies overlooking the lake with al fresco dining on each level.
This luxury home is approx 1,400 sq ft and is professionally designed and decorated with warm inviting colours and high quality furnishings throughout. It sleeps four very comfortably; has two large bedrooms with queen beds, two balconies overlooking both sides of the lake, living room/dining room with wood burning fireplace, full kitchen and full bathroom with tub and shower. Amenities include, high quality leather furnishings, antiques, granite floors, ceramic tile, antique wrought iron and hand blown Murano glass fixtures throughout, satellite TV, Wireless Internet, DVD and CD player.
Great for couples, families or friends, Villa Gabriella is a 250 year old Villa that has been completely renovated to the highest standard. All of our properties include luxury linens and towels for your comfort.
Nearest sandy beach is in the village of Faggeto Lario next to Pognana Lario or San Giovanni Beach in Bellagio.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
Lake Como is one of the most scenic lakes in the world. Nestled in the mountains between Italy and Switzerland, with a near perfect climate in the summer and constant summer breeze, this is paradise. With its numerous waterfalls and quaint villages nearby, there are many discoveries to be made. There are abundant summer and winter activities year round with the centre of Como about 15 minutes away and Bellagio only 20 minutes by car. To the south is Milan (the fashion capital) with shops, museums and theme parks. To the north is Lugano, a lovely Swiss town with many shops, exquisite parks and architecture there is much to see and discover. There is also a popular outlet centre near Lugano with over 150 designer stores enclosed within the mall. With a bounty of cafes and restaurants to tantalize every palate and taste, we have the best of the best.
Como area
Pognana Lario is situated in one of the most picturesque locations on the lake. Pognana has 180 degree unobstructed views of the lake to the north and south as well as west. Directly across the lake from Pognana Lario is the village of Laglio where George Clooney's villa is located. Pognana has a wharf for boat docking and a lido for just sitting on the shores edge to daydream. With its many villas, waterfalls, cobblestone streets and over 200 year old church, it is truly majestic. Directly across from Villa Gabriella is a park like setting that is peaceful and tranquil. There are many walkways and rustic streets through the old village of Pognana that brings one back to the past. Pognana has a few shops, restaurants and cafes nearby for most of your family needs.
How to get there
Milan Malpensa airport or Bergamo Airport - 60 km to Lake Como by car on the A 9 autostrada. Follow the main lake road towards Bellagio - turn off at Pognana Lario ( Localita Canzaga ) .
Train connections from all over Europe arrive in Como. Check out http://www.seat61.com Train stations in Como - San Giovanni or Como Nord
Drive or take the ferry to Pognana Lario from Como or the City Bus # 30 to Pognana Lario. Or take a taxi from Como to Pognana Lario just 15 minutes by taxi. We suggest you rent a car, for ease and enjoyment. If not the public transportation is very good .

As close to heaven as you are going to get on earth! 5/5 We have never seen views such as yours from any other villa we have stayed in previously. The villa was immaculate, beautiful, comfortable and had all the comforts of home and more! We slept like babies on the wonderful bed and then woke up to the most amazing views we had ever witnessed. It was so difficult going home. We wanted to ask for another week but you were booked. We will be back next year for sure! Robin and Eric, thanks for all your assistance in helping our trip go so smoothly and for all the great recommendations on places to see and fine restaurants. Pognana has lovely shops and restaurants which we frequented often just a stroll down the street. We never had to leave the villa.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously and appreciated all of the litte extra luxury comforts that came with your home. The soft sheets, towels and down pillows made us feel pampered, like home. Your home was in a quiet area just like the ad stated . The views from the villa were gorgeous. The walk to the beach was wonderful each morning. Sitting on the relaxing deck with a glass of wine overlooking the entire lake was something we did every evening. We miss it now. We will be back next year with our children. Thank you Robin and Eric for taking such good care of us and for the loan of your lovely home for the week.
