Home description
Our lovely private Villa, has a gated entry, is very private and is a wonderful place to get away from it all. The property has one bedroom w/ queen bed, one bathroom and a queen sized sofa bed, a lovely living room, a dining area, full kitchen, balconies, gardens and terraces for your enjoyment. There are fruit trees on the property to pick from; figs, pears, plums and apples.
There is a private garden where you can sit and enjoy the stunning views with al fresco dining, any time of the day. We are only a few minutes from the water’s edge of Lake Como. The bedroom boasts a large queen bed with luxury linens, pillows, sheets and towels. Highest quality accommodations and furnishings. From the bedroom, living room, dining room, entry and kitchen windows and french doors, you have direct unobstructed views of the entire valley below. Truly stunning! With views of the valleys and mountains to die for.
You can hear the birds each morning singing sweetly outside your bedroom window and the sound of the stream and waterfall below. You will enjoy the peace, quiet and privacy Villetta Gisette has to offer. This is why so many guests from around the world have come to stay with us and find it very hard to leave. Villetta Gisette is a non smoking villa (Although you may smoke outdoors on the terrace with a cigarette receptacle). The home sleeps up to 4 guests only.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
Just half an hour from Milan, Lake Como is a jewel-like oasis of tranquility, a magical combination of lush Mediterranean foliage and snowy alpine peaks. One of the best vantage points for this breathtaking view is in Piazza Cavour, in the town of Como. Nearby is one of the grandest hotels in all Europe, the Villa D'Este, whose rooms are almost like museum galleries.
Lake Como is renowned for its exquisite villas, and probably the most famous one is Villa Carlotta. Varenna may be the most picturesque town on the lake, its steep winding alleys lined with charming homes, flowering balconies and lace-curtained windows. Two famed villas to visit here are Villa Cipressi, with terraced gardens cascading right down to the shores, and Villa Monastero, a true showcase.
On the southern shore is Bellagio, considered by many to be the most beautiful town in all of Europe. Its narrow cobbled streets, breathtaking views, impeccable homes and glorious villas make it a most enchanting to visit.
Como / Veleso area
Nesso is a small village built on the lush and steep banks of Lake Como. Nesso is one of the original lake villages of the Roman age; a beautiful town keeping its traditional charm along with the many natural free flowing waterfalls. There are two stores, a pharmacy next to the restaurant and a post office just south. Veleso and Zelbio are villages neighboring each other situated just above Nesso.
Directly adjacent Villa Gisella is ‘the old road’, in the past used for main travel between villages, now used for peaceful walks. Veleso boasts “Bella Vista Restaurant”, an unparalleled view from the top of Lake Como with food and service to match served by gourmet Chef Paolo and his wonderful parents. Zelbio famed for its majestic church, is equally known for, “the National” a family run bistro, it brings people back for their delicious pizzas and drink, tivinello. Both villages have stores, post offices and bus stops. The local ferries stop all along the lake including Nesso.

The areas above Lake Como on the Bellagio side have many quaint villages; such as Blevio, Torno, Faggeto, Pognana Lario, Nesso, Veleso and Zelbio. You can catch the ferry in Pognana Lario or Bellagio visiting Varenna; go across the lake to Menaggio or up to Lugano and Switzerland.
There are many beaches with lidos in Como, Bellagio, Nesso and Faggeto where you can swim and sun bathe. Throughout the lake area there are many waterfalls and gorgeous views of Como with abundant wildlife. The scenery is truly magnificent! Restaurants and shops abound.
Whether you want a quiet evening or night-life, we have it all. The cobblestone streets to the ancient architecture, Lake Como is one of a kind. With perfect weather in spring, summer and fall, the landscape is like a constant changing photograph. Villetta Gisette is a beautiful villa . 5/5 Thank you Eric and Robin for being such great hosts and making our stay so memorable. We came for the views, the hiking around the three villages and the fantastic food. All within walking distance from the villa. Everything is close by. The lake is just a few minutes by car and the sandy beach in Faggeto Lario. This was a peaceful, tranquil vacation and we got it all. This was much more than we had even hoped for . What a treat . Wow what a place, it is as close to heaven as you could ever get. Nature and creatures are abundant in these fantastic hills above the lake. The views are more than amazing. We completely relaxed in the seclusion of our villa and gardens with absolutely no cares in the world. Yet we were close to everything. We walked to the two villages above the Villa for dinner.Chef Paolo from Bella Vista Ristorante was the most incredible chef having worked with Gordon Ramsey in his earlier career. He never ceased to amaze with fantastic creative and delicious dishes . Eric and Robin and Jiselle were the most wonderful hosts. We could not have asked for kinder more helpful hosts. They were a lovely family. The Villa was luxurious with all of its luxury furnishings and comforts. We had the most amazing time there and will be back again next year. So lovely romantic, very private and peaceful with the sounds it's abundant wild life and birds nearby. It was perfect!
