With its historical roots in the 1400s, the Château Duval is an enchanting château situated in the genuine French environment of your dreams. Take your friends and family members on a different adventure. Perhaps you desire a wine tasting journey, a golf vacation, or simply a wonderful holiday with your loved ones. Over the years we have been visited by guests who enjoy life to its fullest.
The 14th century Chateau Duval is beautifully located on a ridge overlooking the pastoral landscape. The charming Chateau Duval and it's surrounding buildings has high ceilings, massive oak beams, fireplaces, adorned floors, grand windows, inspiring country-style kitchens, extravagant drawing rooms and beautiful bathrooms. The buildings are renovated according to the original and possess their own unique charm. All buildings have easy access to the pool and their own outdoor sitting areas where you can enjoy relaxing evenings with an enchanting view overlooking the parc and valley.

The Brittany / Ille-et-Vilaine region
It is only 150km to the beached of the D Day landings. Omaha Beach and the American war cemetary is an unforgettable place. The village of Combourg are situated only 30 km from the town of Rennes with its 250.000 inhabitants, or Bretones as they are called in the west of France. 30 km in the other direction you will find the sea and the resort of Dinard with some of Brittanys finest beaches. Nearby you find the port of St Malo with its characteristic town wall. All the ferries that go to the channel islands leave from here. Nearby lies the coastal town of Cancale, here shellfish connoisseurs meet from all over the world, to visit the oyster farms and to savour the fruits of the sea at one of the ports picturesque restaurants. Other sights worth seeing close to Grand Val is the abbey and former pirate nest Mont St Michel, and also the villages Vitre and Dinan - with their intact old city centres dating from the12th century.
Combourg area
In addition to good food, fascinating culture and beautiful beaches there are seven different golf courses nearby. Golf des Ormes and Golf de St. Malo/Le Tronchet is only a 15 min. drive from the Chateau. Further on there are five other courses within easy reach. Some of these courses are placed around fantastic castles while others like Golf de Dinard is a seaside/links course with breathtaking view over the sea. Unlike Sweden there are rarely any people on the courses!

The White Room A fabolous room on the first floor with a beautiful view over the valley and Combourg. The room is from the 18th century and goes in the colours of white and silver. It has a marble fireplace and two single beds. Private washbasin.
The Yellow Room A beautiful room on the first floor that has two grand windows overlooking the parc. The room dates from the 18th century, goes in yellow and has an historical marble fireplace. Private washbasin.
The Green Room A generous room on the first floor with two grand windows overlooking the parc. The room is from the 18th century and goes in warm green colours. It also has it’s own marble fireplace.
The Tower room A grand room on the second floor with a lovely view overlooking the valley and Combourg. The room goes in yellow colours, is from the 18th century and has a marble fireplace. Private bathroom with shower, bath and wc.
Grand Parkhouse Kitchen: fully equipped and with dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Livingroom: Spacious highceiling living room with grand windows. Three bedrooms with two singlebeds. Bathroom.
Petit Farmhouse Kitchen: fully equipped and with dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Living room area connected to kitchen. Two bedrooms with two single beds, Bathroom.
Gatehouse Kitchen: fully equipped and with dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Dining room and living room takes up the whole first floor, high ceiling and grand oak beams, fireplace. Three bedrooms with two single beds in each, Designed bathroom.
