Home description
Le Courtil can sleep 6 in 3 bedrooms; 2 doubles, and a single with bunk beds. The bathroom has bath, with shower over bath, basin, electric towel rail and loo. There is ample hot water. The fitted kitchen is equipped with oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave (washing machine in outhouse) plenty of cupboards and a large table and chairs. The living room is a double aspect, large L shaped room with woodburning stove, CD, radio and cassette player, plenty of reading material, maps, games and a file of local attractions, Satellite TV and video.
All the floors throughout the house are of wood. The house is amply heated by electric, thermostatically controlled room heaters + woodburner in lounge. The kitchen has a full complement of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils and duvets and pillows are supplied.

The Brittany / Ille-et-Vilaine region
Le Courtil du Moulin is on the border of Ille-et-Vilaine and Cote d'Amour
The emerald coast of Ille-et-Vilaine stretches from the bay of Mont St Michel to St Briac sur Mer linking the ports of Cancale, St Malo and Dinard.
The old walled town of St Malo is one of the area's great attractions. The rampart walls conceal a charming town known for good restaurants and pavement cafés. The regional capital, Rennes has an elegant old quarter with a huge Saturday market. There are superb oysters from Cancale and excellent golf in Dinard.
Côtes-d'Armor lies on the North coast of Brittany. It has a rugged coastline with steep cliffs and is dotted with quaint, medieval towns.
Dinan sits on the river Rance with the houses of the old town clustered together behind the ramparts. The ancient ramparts and cobbled streets in the river port of Dinan are well worth a visit, Weekly market day is Thursday. Music fans head for St Brieuc in September for the popular Breton rock festival with a host of internationally renowned artists
St Brieuc stages the . Sample the fresh shellfish - the Côtes d’Armor is the largest European producer of scallops.
Combourg area
Chappelle aux Filtzmeens - and Pleugueneuc. Both are 3 km and an easy cycle ride – 2 bikes provided. Chappelle aux Filtzmeens has a Boulangerie/Patissiere, Tabac, 2 Bars and a restaurant. Pleugueneuc also has a Boulangerie, excellent butcher, small supermarket, garage, 2 bars, restaurants, hairdressers and the local town hall. Chateau de Bourbansais, Pleugueneuc, interesting chateau which also houses a zoo, falconry centre, hunting display pack, walking and picnic areas. (www.labourbansais.com) 3km from house

How to get there
Located between the historic towns of Dinan and Combourg, it takes 25 minutes to reach the house from St Malo ferry port or between 1½ and 2 hrs from Caen or Cherbourg. Rennes and Dinard airports are both 30 minutes drive.
