About the home

Becuet Apartment is ideally suited for a family looking for summer or winter activities. It is part of a larger house set in private grounds and is extremely tranquil and spacious.

You can use the apartment as a base from which to explore the nearby resorts of Combloux, Megeve, Le Contamines , Les Houches and Chamonix, or to just lay back and enjoy the views of Mont Blanc.

You will ideally need a car, and the apartment is fully equipped and self contained.

Access is via a separate external staircase leading to a first floor living/dining area with double height ceiling. It has a brand new modern open kitchen and a large family sofa with a 50" 3D plasma screen and home cinema.

A further internal staircase leads to the upper loft sleeping zone, which has a bedroom with 2 single beds, a walk-in wardrobe area, and a tiled bathroom with wet-room shower. This leads into the double master bedroom.

Private woods and orchard, in a rural setting. Ample parking space. BBQ, trampoline and table tennis in Summer. Superb views of Mont Blanc and Chamonix Valley all year round.

Master Double Bedroom

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region

The Haute-Savoie region is near between Geneva and the Mont Blanc Tunnel, and is influenced by both French and Italian cultures. It's home to some of the most stunning mountain scenery in the world, and enjoys warm summers and snowy winters.

There is plenty of different things to do here. Enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery and go for walks or hire some bikes for an enjoyable cycle ride. The ski lifts are open during summer from 5th July to 2nd September and there are mountain bike trails in Combloux that will challenge you !

The Combloux / Domancy area

Combloux is the nearest village, and is known as the "Pearl of Mont Blanc" because of it's panoramic 360 degree views of Europe's tallest mountain.

It's considered a family resort, and is very popular with French families who come for the combination of beautiful scenery, skiing/hiking facilities and the many excellent restaurant chalets and refuges scattered around the surrounding hillsides. Combloux is 10 minutes away by car, and Lac de Passy is a short walk down the hill for swimming, running and sunbathing in summer.

50km from Geneva Airport, take the autoroute Mont Blanc towards Chamonix, exit 21 after Sallanches, turn right to Intermarche supermarket, turn right towards Sallanches/Domancy, turn left at roundabout in Domancy, and left at next roundabout up hill towards Combloux.

Go up hill past church on left, and after 2 switchbacks, you will see a sign of an artists pallete on the right. Immediately opposite this is a tarmac private lane. The house is 500m at the end of this lane.

“No need to look anywhere else!” This chalet is most confortable and has been refurbished to a very high standard, It is well fitted out (complete with welcome beers and a food pack!) and was a pleasure for the six of us to use. The owners and their family made us all very welcome from start to finish and were extremely helpful when asked for advice. All in all a brilliant find for us - you would not be disappointed. We could not fault anything.

“Fantastic apartment, great location with exceptional views!” We stayed at Becuet Apartment for a recent skiing holiday. The apartment is ideally situated within a short drive of several great skiing resorts which cater for both the novice or advanced skier. We really enjoyed the pistes at Vallorcine which were a little bit further away but well worth the drive. The closest resort is Combloux which has got something for everyone. I'm sure it would be equally as good in the summer for walking and mountain biking etc. We found the apartment to be superbly equipped with a modern kitchen in an open plan lounge/dining area. We loved the comfy sofas and huge TV. There are two bedrooms - one with two single beds and one with a double/king size bed. They were all very comfortable and we slept like logs! The bathroom is very modern with a huge, walk-in shower. There are shops within a short drive so you can top up with anything you need. The apartment has it's own entrance but is part of a lovely house which has fantastic views over the valley below and surrounding mountains. The owners - Deirdre and Shaun - were on hand to 'point us in the right direction' and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay in this apartment again and recommend it to friends and family.

“Great location, superb accommodation and facilities” My wife and daughter stayed at the Becuet in March / April using it as a base for skiing. We drove down from the UK and it could not have been easier. The accommodation is beautifully located at the end of its own road over looking the valley below where the main trunk routes are easily accessible. From the base make your choice of routes / visits in an area of outstanding beauty and interest. The apartment is newly renovated and forms the end of the main family house. It fitted out to a very high standard with a modern kitchen, bathroom, satalite TV, wi-fi etc. There is plenty of parking and the hosts, including the dog, could not be more accommodating and friendly. We ski every year and travel a lot and this one really is worth a stay- enjoy!
