The Apartment is owned and operated by us the owners no agency or booking fee and we don't charge for bringing up to two small to medium pet dogs on holiday with you

An ideal base from which to visit the many places of outstanding natural beauty and historical interest to be found in this truly beautiful part of the West Country and if you don't wish to use your car there is a bus stop within yards of the apartment .

The apartment is on the top floor of Grassmere House and is accessed via a flight of stairs,with four Bedrooms one an en-suite, spacious plenty of room for nine yet cosy enough for smaller parties,

We have tried to design the apartment to provide most of what you are likely to need for a relaxing holiday , with freeview sky and tv in most rooms .On rainy days there are games and a choice of DVDs to suit most tastes

After a day of exploring its great to come back to the comfortable luxury apartment with its air conditioning and relax in the jacuzzi bath or in the garden and decked area with a drink

Bedrooms and sitting room have air-conditioning .There are TV,s in all rooms except bathrooms with either satellite or freeview .

The kitchen has microwave,washer/dryer,dishwasher fridge/freezer ,gas hob and electric oven,oak table and chairs plus a high chair. The tiles are a farm yard animal theme which younger members of the family love!

The sitting room is triangular in shape with enough seating for everyone to sit comfortably,a special feature of this room are the two bay windows large enough to sit in to read a book or just watch the world go by.There is also games and DVDs to watch

Just off the sitting room is the family bedroom comprising of one king size bed, one full size single bed and cot with a green colour theme.

Along the hall way are two more bedrooms one with a lilac colour theme and the other a blue colour theme both with two full size single beds and tv with free view sky operated from the sky box in the family bedroom

The cream themed en-suite bedroom is accessed via a stair case and has a king size double bed with shower,toilet and basin.

The fully tiled bathroom has a separate double shower, toilet,basin and a jacuzzi bath big enough for two ideal to sooth those tired muscles after a days site seeing

Linen and towels are provided but we do request that you bring your own cot bedding

Outside the apartment there is room to park up to four cars and the deck and lawn areas are for the sole use of the apartment which is accessed through a double wooden gate

The deck has plenty of seating where you can sit and relax ,it has ornamental trees for shade and privacy and looks over the roof tops of Grassmere House towards the countryside where there are plenty of footpaths for walking and also marvellous views of the sea and village of Combe Martin.

The village of Combe Martin, which nestles in a sheltered valley, has a two mile long high street, offering a wide selection of Inns,Cafes and Gift Shops,leading down to the Sandy/Pebble bay where children can swim in safety and explore the many rock pools .

Within a short distance is the golden sandy beaches Woolacombe and Croyde Bay very popular with surfers and families.

Ilfracombe is another place to visit and its here that Sea Fishing Trips are available during spring and summer and a golf course after a day of exploring you will come back to the comfortable spacious luxury apartment with its air conditioning and jaquzzi relax in the garden and decked area with a drink

"total letdown"

nice area accomadation not worth rental fee issues with tenants dog using car park as its toiletnot great priced to high issues with tenants dog using attached car park as toilet area. property had l… More

We asked tenants and neighbours about these claims that use the parking area and all said that the claims by this guest were untrue abut the dog fouling,so we are amazed that such a claim has been made.
In reply to the other issues, we were on site to welcome these guests when they arrived and were asked on many occasions a period of over 6 days at the start and end of the holiday if everything was ok,they made no complaints at all except on the day they left when she commented that everything had been fine except for the weather.
At no time had any complaints been made while they were on holiday and only after they returned home did we received a letter of complaint which was fully investigated.No evidence to support her claims were found,this included our own inspections on the days when we were on site.
Up to the present over the years we have no knowledge of any complaints and have had many satisfied guests.
We will not comment on the reasons as to why these complaints were made but leave it up to any prospective guest to make up their own minds as to her comments

"A lovely luxurious apartment set in a really nice location."

We were pleasantly surprised with the apartment, it was really clean, spacious and had a luxury feel to it. The air conditioning made it really comfortable and the jacuzzi in particular was something everybody really enjoyed. The location of the apartment was ideal really. There is a lovely pub called the Pack of Cards about 100 yards away where there is a big garden / play area ideal for kids and they also do really good food. The beach is only about a 10 minute walk and is nicely enclosed with some good rock pools either side of the beach for crab fishing etc. Also some nice little shops and pubs down by the beach. Ilfracombe is only about 4 miles away and this has a nice harbour and a greater selection of shops and also a large Tesco's. We had a really good holiday and I would definitely recommend the apartments. We were a family of 7 and had plenty of room, you could easily have 2 families of 4 share the apartment.
