Well equipped stylishly furnished throughout. With four good sized bedrooms, this house offers a home from home for up to 8 people. The West Country region

North Devon's mild climate and stunning landscape, make it the perfect holiday destination for all the family. The area includes Exmoor National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Some of the most dramatic stretches of coastline in Britain and not forgetting the magnificent sandy surfing beaches. The South West Coast path and the Tarka Trail offer miles of walking, cycling and riding opportunities for all ages. Barnstaple is the regional centre, only half an hours drive away, offering a good shopping centre, with a traditional Pannier market. Within Barnstaple can be found a multi screen cinema, ten pin bowing, Karting, Leisure and tennis centres and many restaurants and cafes.

Combe Martin

Combe Martin is set in spectacular scenery with two sandy beaches and some fantastic rock pools. The Village has a selection of shops,cafes and pubs (selling very good food). To the rear of the property is Exmoor National Park. There are various footpaths which access the coastal walks over Hangmans Hill and onto Lynton and Lynmouth for those who like walking.

Berrynarbor is a pretty village of whitewashed cottages and an historic church. There are a selection of pubs and tearooms.

Watermouth has a wonderful natural harbour with a coastal path running through it. Watermouth castle is an adventure theme park suitable for younger children.

For the children there is also the Wildlife and Dinosaur park a few minutes up the road, Exmoor zoo and a little further round the coast The Big Sheep and Milky way

Ilfracombe is a working harbour with a ferry to Lundy Island, Sea fishing and boat trips. There is a cinema, the Landmark theatre,Pitch and putt golf. Damion Hurst's restaurant 'The Quay' can be found on the harbour and Fore Street boasts many great restaurants.

Woolacombe has three miles of beautiful golden sandy beaches ideal for children and surfers and only a 15 minute drive away. Putsborough and Saunton beaches are equally as beautiful.

Croyde Beach - another favourite with families and surfers alike is only a 25 minute drive away.

Lynton and Lynmouth - has a Victorian cliff railway with many shops,pubs and restaurants. On the way you pass through the Valley of the Rocks containing wild goats and ponies.

There are numerous golf courses in the area - including the renowned links course at Saunton.

"Fun and laughter at Summerland House"

Summerland House is a perfect family holiday letting for 2 families. It was well equipped and had all the home comforts we required with amazing views over. The children loved exploring the beach and despite the wet weather we spent most of the week exploring the coastal paths of Combe Martin. Unfortunatley we weren't able to make it out to the halloween parade but it looked amazing as they went by the house and we had a great view of the fireworks from the patio at the back. I would fully recommend anyone a visit.

"Beautiful house, high standard of accommodation, ideal for large family group"

This property is very spacious, extremely comfortable and ideal for our family of all ages. The location is very convenient for a variety of activities and we enjoyed visits to local attractions as well as walking along the coast and on Exmoor. The beach is only a short walk away although unfortunately we didn't have the weather to use it!

The house is presented to a very high standard, making our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The kitchen is brilliant with two fridges, freezer, double oven, microwave, dishwasher and a wide range of crockery, utensils etc, making self catering very easy.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, supplying detailed directions and local assistance.

"An excellent house in an excellent location"

We stayed for a week in late July 2011 and found the house and location to be perfect for our requirements. It was an excellent spot to explore the North Devon coast and with Combe Martin beach and amenities five minutes walk away suited us if we didn't to drive.

The house set up with two double bedrooms and a twin / bunk room on each floor was perfect for two families so each could have their own floor and bathrooms etc. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary bits and pieces, which made cooking very easy.

We all thought the house was decorated and finished to a high standard, which definitely the stay much more pleasurable.

The owners were extremely helpful and sent some spot on directions to find the property. We were met by a representative to hand over keys, which worked well.
