Open all Year to cater for 2 to 3 families in comfort. With 4 bedrooms and 4 Bathrooms, it is the ideal holiday home in a peaceful part of the East Devon Countryside, but close to the coast in between Sidmouth and Lyme Regis.
All mod-cons are included such as Underfloor Heating, Sky TV (inc. Sports) and Internet Access. Awarded the 4 Star Grade for Comfort, Location & Decor by the English Tourism Council.
The spacious garden has its own water fountain with views of green fields and the Axe Valley.
A picnic bench is situated above our Ostrich Pen where you can enjoy watching Nobby & Norma perform their crazy mating dance !!
Also on the farm, we have sheep, lambs and horses. You are welcome to walk around our 170 acre farm across streams and meadows or through woodlands. Even walk to the picnic bench at the top of the hill above your cottage and view the whole Axe Valley....
We are in driving distance of many attractions in the SW.

The West Country / Devon region
Near the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline and in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are within 2 miles of the beach.
There is so much to do including the long beach at Seaton and its many attractions, including cliff walks, golf, fishing and its famous Colyford Tramway, which is only 5 minutes away!
Neighbouring Beer is a quaint coastal village which has its historic Caves and Pecorama with its Model Railway. Farway Countryside Park has a plethora of animals and playthings to amuse the children. The nearby popular seaside resorts of Sidmouth and Lyme Regis are just minutes away in opposite directions and need no introduction !
Whitwell Cottages are centrally based to enable you to explore more of South West England.

Our rental properties, which are listed in the Doomsday Book of 1086, offer views of green fields and the freedom of tranquil woodland walks, farm tours, nature trails and picnic sites where you could encounter farm animals such as ewes and their lambs peacefully munching grass, or even Nobby and Norma - our 2 fully grown 7 feet tall ostriches - the World's largest flightless birds - who may even entertain you with their crazy mating dance in full view of our luxury holiday rentals !!

Further details indoors: Interior facilities includes a TV in each bedroom, 3 of which have en suites. Wooden floors and wooden beams add character to this building which was once a horse stables and storage facility.
Most lights are on dimmer switches which can give atmospheric lighting possibilities.
Further details outdoors: Freedom to roam our 170 acre farm through meadows, woodlands and streams. There is a quarter acre play area in front of the cottage to kick a ball or fly a kite. Picnic benches are situated around to enjoy the view or even your favourite tipple !
