About the home
Why choose The Mill?
Renovated in 2009, the Mill is our very own Grand Design.
It is a converted stone barn, part of the farm steading at Dunmuck. It has been finished to a very high standard, with a double height living area, smart kitchen and great eco credentials. The Mill is warm throughout, with underfloor heating from an air source heat pump, whole house heat recovery system solar panels,LED lighting and induction hob. When you just want to curl up in front of the fire there is also an Esse woodburning stove/ cooker.
The Mill is very light and spacious with full height sliding windows looking past the garden and over rolling hills - watching the sunset change the whole house pink is beautiful.
There is a master bedroom, double sofa bed in the living room and a loft bedroom of two singles which is reached by steps outside.
There is a laundry room and trampoline and a DVD collection shared with Dunmuck Farmhouse. However, The Mill has its own large enclosed garden, parking and faces the opposite direction from the house. It is freestanding.

We have just returned from our 2nd stay at The Mill. I honestly can not recommend staying here enough, it really is the perfect place to enjoy a break. As well as being totally relaxing and peaceful there is plenty to keep the children happy and entertained, from the safety of the gardens, to the games room, to exploring Dunmuck and it's surroundings. The Mill has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The surrounding area is beautiful with plenty of wonderful walks. Colvend is a great base if you want to go futhur a field and see whats going on in the area. The Mill is our number 1 holiday destination now, my daughters (aged 7 & 5) prefer it to our annual holiday abroad!!! Thank you Laura and Alan! |
