A genuine log cabin situated in woodland adjacent to a 18 hole golf course, with spectacular views across the hills to the Solway Firth and beyond. Furnished to a high standard to sleep up to 6 people. Cumstoun lodge comprises of 3 bedrooms, bathroom and a spacious open plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen. Outside is a large area of decking with patio furniture and barbeque, from which you can enjoy spectacular views. The lodge provides a perfect base for a relaxing holiday throughout the year. A golden beach with cliff top trails is a 10 minute walk away and numerous other activities including horse riding, cycling and water-sports are within easy reach. For the wildlife enthusiast deer, badgers and red squirrels can often be spotted in the garden and surrounding area of the lodge. The lodge is privately owned and is NOT part of a 'holiday complex'. The lodge has an open plan living area comprising of a kitchen, dining room and lounge.
Kitchen with views across to the Solway Firth, electric cooker with oven, washing machine, microwave, fridge, comprehensive selection of crockery and cooking utensils.
Dining area with table & chairs.
Lounge with 1 x 3 seater and 1 x 2 seater sofas, patio doors overlooking the golf course and lake, colour TV, DVD Player & Free view box.
The Holiday Lodge can sleep up to six people. There are three bedrooms, one double, one twin and a bunk bedded twin.
The bathroom has a toilet, wash basin, shower and a heated towel rail.

There is extensive outside decking with a table, six chairs and a gas barbeque. The front and side of the lodge is lawned and is an ideal playing area for children.
There is parking for two cars beside the lodge.

The Colvend Coast area
Colvend, on the Solway coast, in a lovely unspoilt corner of Scotland, is an Area of Natural Beauty and with a year round mild climate provides the perfect location whatever your interests may be. Sandyhills beach is a short walk away, while the rock pools at Rockcliffe are just two minutes by car. The coastal walks offer incredible views across the Solway Firth to the Lake District.
The picturesque village of Kippford with its small boats and yachts offers a selection of restaurants and pubs serving local produce and “real” local ales and it is only a five minute drive away.
Fresh Water and Sea Fishing all close by.
World class 7 Stanes Mountainbike tracks 10 minutes drive.
Mabie Park Farm ideal day out with the children, animal paddock and pet handling, indoor and outdoor play areas. 20 minutes drive.
Castle Douglas the food town, All local produce excellent quality. Shops, Cafes, Pubs, Supermarket.
Kirkcudbright the artists town, well worth visiting on Thursday evenings during the summer for the Pipe bands.

well equipped cabin,clean cosy and comfortable perfect for a realaxing holiday,situated next to the golf course it's in a fantastic location,the cabin is suitable for all age groups, the beach is only a ten minute walk away and there is an abundance of wildlife including Badgers, the local shops are well stocked, friendly and helpful we enjoyed every aspect of the holiday and have returned several times |
