The Balearic Islands region
Mallorca - The largest and most popular of the Balleric islands, Mallorca is set in the Mediterranean Sea off the east coast of mainland Spain. In both aesthetics and atmosphere the beautiful island of Mallorca is somewhat of a contrast. This contrast makes for an irresistible natural beauty. While the North offers dramatic mountains and rugged landscape the south levels out to pine-covered hills and windmill-dotted plains.
Thanks to its well-established tourist trade, Mallorca offers a wide range of activities and excursions. Activities include golf courses, safari parks, adventure playgrounds, nature trails, sea life centres and aqua parks. Popular sports on the island also include cycling, trekking swimming, sailing and water-skiing. With such a wide variety it's safe to say 'there's something for everyone!
Despite great popularity and development, Majorca's coastline remains an astonishingly beautiful place with secluded coves of soft golden sands.
The size of the island means that you are able to sample all of its beauty without having to spend the whole day in the car!
Whether you want to sun yourself in peace and quiet or live it up in the hot spots until the early hours, Majorca is just the resort for you.
Colonia de Sant Pere
Colonia is located in the north-east of the island on the edge of the Rustica (National Trust land) with stunning views of the mountains and Bay of Alcudia. The beach is small, safe and suitable for the little ones. The small marina proffers a selection of boats from fishing vessels to luxury yachts. There are nineteen superb restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk of the villa. These offer a wide selection of local food, fish being a speciality, as well as Italian, an Argentinian steak house, and European food, with alfresco dining along the sea front.
Relax in this charming small quiet
village which boasts no hotels, or enjoy the delights of the local resorts.
Colonia is close to all the resorts along the east coast where night life and designer shops abound. To the north-west is the bay of Pollensa and the famous hotel at Formentor. Arta is the closest town with many historic buildings, shops and restaurants.
Close to Colonia are six golf clubs including Pula, home of the Mallorca Classic and Alcanada, at the north-west end of the Bay of Alcudia, voted the best course on the island by the Peugeot Golf Guide. Add to the list water sports, horse riding, walking and cycling and there is something for everyone.
In or out of season there is plenty to occupy the discerning visitor. There are numerous festivals, the spring almond blossom is something to behold and one can explore the magnificent mountains and historic buildings.

"Fantastic Place to Stay"
We stayed here for a week at Easter and it was a great house and a lovely village to stay in. We were very happy! The house was lovely and clean and beautifully furnished. We had lots of communication… More
I am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Easter so much.
It is also good to hear that you were impressed by the cleanliness and the furnishings. I must agree that the views from the roof terrace are stunning, especially watching the sun set over the bay of Alcudia.
I hope that one day, we may be able to welcome you back to stay again.

Spent 7 lovely days here in January. Travelled as three couples, and was looking for a base for us to explore the north of this wonderful island. Got a good vibe when I first booked, the owners seemed really on the ball and were quick to respond and provide additional information I requested. The pre holiday pack they sent contained lots of great information and very clear directions on how to reach the Villa. This helped us plan our stay before we even arrived! Upon Arrival the Villa is location in a very pretty Spanish town, much better than the concrete commercial towns you pass on the way or see in mainstream holiday brochures. The Villa itself is in my opinion great value for money. Lovely spacious rooms, a great hot tub, and the roof space offers amazing views as well as a great place to chill out and enjoy the weather and your surroundings.
My wife is particular on hygiene and we never travel without her clothes and cleaning spray! She was delighted by the level of cleanliness and the clothes only came out after we had been there for two days and she wanted to "refresh".
Already booked again for this year, cannot fault the service provided, the location or the Villa..
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and other travellers on Trip Advisor.
I am pleased to hear that you and your friends, enjoyed the stay at Casa De Rosa, and were impressed with the facilities.
We try very hard to maintain the villa to the highest standards and ensure that it meets exacting standards of cleanliness, so I am pleased that it exceeded your wife's high standards.
We are pleased that you have booked the villa again, and are looking forward to welcoming you back later this year.

"Charming & great for a family"
Really nice apartment and the area was lovley. Great views from the roof terrace, everything nice and clean. Less than 1 min to get to the beach on the bikes that are provided! My 5 year old loved to snorkel in the local beach and we could just sit and watch the kids play whilst having a drink etc! Great atmosphere at night, nice and safe for the kids etc.
Very nice! We will go back!
Alex & family.
