About the home

Les Petits Pois is located high on a hilltop in Colombier with cool breeze all of the time.The villa has an ocean view towards the Bay of Flamands the smaller islands of Frgate Bonhomme.The villa is ideal for families, groups of friends, as well as just one couple. It is spacious comfortable with separate sleeping living quarters for greater privacy. The gourmet kitchen is well equipped. One of the owners is a French chef.There is indoor dining area as a well as a large table on the terrace for dining. Comfortable chaise lounges surround the pool. A covered dining area by the pool includes an outdoor kitchen with a gas barbecue, with music from the outdoor speakers.All bedrooms have air conditioning as a well as ceiling fans, all of the windows have screens. Two bedrooms have king size beds with private bathrooms one with a bathtub as well as a shower. The two other bedrooms one with a queen bed one with 2 twin beds, share a bathroom shower.The owners are an American from the Broadway theatre a French chef, making Les Petits Pois a wonderful mix of New York, Paris St. Barth.

The Leeward region

St Barts, known as Saint Barthelemy officially and simply as Saint-Barth to the locals, is eight square miles of paradise in the north eastern corner of the Caribbean arc. Not far from either St Kitts or Anguilla, both of which can be seen on the horizon.

In contrast to its formerly British neighbouring islands, St Barts remains resolutely French and 100% part of the French Republic, with all the emphasis on style, fashion and cuisine that that entails.

Discovered by Colombus in 1493 and then again in 1957 by the Rockefellers, St Barts is famed as the playground of the rich and famous and at Christmas the global jet-set and glitterati can be found enjoying the 22 beaches and the 80 or so restaurants. The hotels on St Barts are small and the majority of the accommodation is in villas, of which we have the widest possible choice

The Colombier area

Colombier forms the spine of St Barts, covering the central ridge of hills that run downs the centre of the leeward side of the island.As such, villas in Colombier, while exclusively hillside villas, can be close into the airport with easy access to St Jean and Gustavia, or on the far western tip, with sunset views and the island of St Martin in the distance.Colombier boasts the second most beautiful beach in the world...best accessed by boat, however for the more adventurous, a winding path down the hillside.The villages of Corossol and Flamands are close at hand and Colombier has the largest bakery on the island, ideal for fresh baguettes, croissants and coffee.
