Il Casale is located in the unspoilt region of Le Marche, bordering on Umbria and Tuscany.
As well as relaxing by the pool, you can plan day trips to the beaches on Italy's Adriatic coast, swim in the cool waters of Lake Fiastra, or go walking in the Sibilini National Park. There is even a ski resort for winter visitors.
The Colmurano area
Il Casale is close to the picturesque village of Colmurano, where you can pick up basic groceries, enjoy a drink at the bar and sample the fabulous pizzas and local specialties—boar and truffles—or even join in with the many colourful festivals.
Set between the Adriatic coast which offers the best of Italian beach life—watersports, chic towns and seafront restaurants—and the rugged beauty of the Sibilini National Park. There is something for everyone: archaeological sites a plenty, nights at open-air operas and concerts, days out spent swimming and boating in a fresh water lake, not forgetting skiing in the winter months.
Take the road inland, and within 30 minutes you can be in the mountains with the beautiful town of Sarnano with thermal baths and skiing centre. Head east, and the long white beaches of the Adriatic coast are within your reach. Also accessible are: the Frasassi Caves, Macerata (wth an open air Opera Festival), Loreto, Camerino, Assisi, Perugia.
