A newly renovated and fully modernised apartment in the beautiful historic town of Collioure. Fully equipped, it is ideal for couples and families and is close to beaches, restaurants and cafes.
There is a child's travel cot, high chair and toys as well as LCD TV, DVD player and English and French DVDs for children and parents. It has a dining loggia with a view of the residence - the full-length glass doors can be opened or closed - perfect for dining in any weather!
Central Collioure is just minutes away with its three pretty beaches, Chateau Royale, forts, artist studios, fantastic range of restaurants, boutiques and shops. Collioure has a local market on Sundays and Wednesdays. During the summer months there is a large water park and fairground at nearby St Cyprien.

There is a small communal area with use of a washing line. The apartment has an enclosed, dining loggia with a full view of the residence and a glimpse of the hills and fort over Collioure. There is parking in the private residence which is a huge advantage as parking in Collioure is often difficult.

Collioure and its surroundings are enclosed by hilltop vineyards which act as a stunning backdrop to a beautiful coastine. It is known as the sunniest part of France, with plenty of beach resorts up and down the coastline and many family-friendly things to see and do. Known as the Cote Vermeille, this area has a strong Catalan history and is a relatively unspoiled, naturally beautiful part of France. There is easy access to the foothills of the Pyrenees and Canigou, the holy mountain of the Catalans.
There are lots of places of interest to discover including the cloisters at Elne, the modern art museum at Ceret and the city of Perpignan. In addition, you also have northern Spain on your doorstep with the Dali museum and the seaside resort of Cadaques being just some of the highlights.
This area cannot be beaten as there is definitely something for everyone whether it be walking, cycling, visiting historic sites, watersports/waterpark, enjoying fabulous family activities or just relaxing on a beach and enjoying the wine from the plentiful local vineyards.
In Winter, ski-enthusiasts will enjoy the ski resorts of the Pyrenees which are just 90 mins drive away, including the excellent resorts of Font-Romeau and Pyrenees 2000.
The Collioure area
Collioure is a beautiful, unspoiled town with three pretty beaches, a medieval castle, forts and a picturesque Baroque church by the sea. It is famous for being the birthplace of Fauvism, an art movement that drew Matisse, Picasso and Derain, amongst others, to paint in its fabulous surroundings.
There are lots of cafes and restaurants, many with stunning views to ponder over whilst you enjoy a fabulous meal or coffee. A great choice of artist studios and boutiques and shops.
There is a small children's' playground and roundabout, and a local market on Wednesdays and Sundays. There is a big festival in Collioure during August. During summer, you can visit a fantastic water park at nearby St. Cyprien and a fairground.

Easy access from several nearby airports with excellent budget airline services: including Girona (75 mins away), Perpignan (40 mins away) and Carcasonne (1hr away). Car hire is available from all airport (including Hertz, Budget, Europcar). In addition there is a bus service to Perpignan from Girona airport and a train service to Perpignan from Perpignan airport. There is a local train service from Perpignan to Collioure station (5 mins walk from the apartment). Parking is provided outside the apartment.

Apartment very spacious and nice to live...Comfortable even for a family of 4 o 6 persons. Easy to access and possibility to park the car in the private street, which is important especially in summer. Everything is provided for the comfort of holidaymakers... kitchen very complete and great with oven and dishwasher that work very well, living room with two comfortable sofas, tele and dvd including many films a provision. Books and games for young children. The beds are very comfortable and the sofa bed also. This is really an apartment to recommend for the holidays, near the centre and the beaches of Collioure (approximately 10 minutes by foot). the apartment is on the ground floor... only 5 steps to climb... The owners are very serious and enjoyable... The key and the deposit are sent very quickly, without any problem. Really an apartment has recommend from excellent holidays. |

A very spacious comfortable apartment and because the owners use it themselves it has every appliance and piece of crockery/utensil you are going to need along with a good stock of DVD's, books, toys and tourist info stuff. Booking was very easy as was return of deposit. Collioure is a charming coastal town and the apartment is located within easy walking distance of the town centre, market (Wed & Sun am), beaches and restaurants. The apartment itself is situated in a quiet leafy street with easy access to parking outside. There are no spectacular views from the apartment - you have to get out to appreciate those. |
