Collioure is a lively resort with things to do for both old and young (discotheque way up at the top of the town is a must-go for the the youth of the whole region, there, that’s that problem solved..). It caters for adults too there are beautiful walks above and behind the town, watersports and fishing along the coast and after the activity's over you can relax with a glass of chilled Muscat in hand in one of the many wonderful waterfront bar terraces and watch the world go by or why not search out the next budding Picasso from the multitude of young hopefuls that parade and exhibit in the quaint streets behind the quayside.

Collioure area
Collioure is magical and it's not just us saying it! It has a special "light" which has always attracted artists, notably Picasso and Braque and les Fauvists in the early part of last century. Today many hopefuls live and work here and exhibit their work on the quayside
Don't miss the great fiesta of St Vincent on the 16th August with a firework display to certainly remember. There's walks in the hills above the town, every imaginable water activity up and down the coast. Sandy beaches, pebbly beaches you'll find it all, here on the Côte Catalane.
How to get there
Perpignan is closest airport but Girona over the border has more convenient flight times to more destinations. Do it by train its quicker than you think, far more comfortable and you can get bargain offers.
