This apartment is 40 yards from the beach Plage Faubourg. It has an open kitchen dining area 2 bedrooms one double bed and 2 bunk beds. It also has a mezzanine bedroom with a double bed and 2 couch beds. One bathroom. Really spacious, breezy and bright.
Collioure is the prettiest village in France. It is either a heaving bustling town or a quiet sleepy village depending when you visit. Its not a well kept secret so you will never be alone here.
The apartment is sufficiently back from the main road and yet close enough to the Boulangerie (60 yds), supermarket (30 yds), Charcuterie (25 yds), Tabac (30 yds), so you can see its going to be a very energetic holiday!

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Pyrenees-Orientales region
Collioure is the prettiest village in all of France.
Chagall, Picasso, Derain, Matisse, all made it their home for a period and there will always be a painter or painters dotted around as you walk. It is a fishing village which has at its centre a Castle open to the public which holds concerts in the summer.
It is surrounded by the Pyrenees and is where the mountains meet the sea. It has a vibrant identity with festivals every few weekends in the summer bullfights and carnivals. It is fiercely independent and very Catalan.
The village is accessed from the main road high above it and as you wind your way down you pass acre after acre of vines all grown and sold locally.
I should say Spain is only 30 mins away and Andorra to ski is 60 kms away also.
Collioure / Faubourg area
As I said there are festivals almost every second weekend and it really is important to check shortly before you leave to see what's on in the area.
There is go karting, water parks, apart from the sea at your doorstep. It's quite a test for the cyclist as there are quite a few hills but no more than challenging really.
There is something for everything, even a Michelin Star restaurant among the very good restaurants here.
How to get there
The apartment is 40 yards from the beach in the Faubourg district of Collioure. In fact it is one street up from the beach.
Collioure is a small fishing village 28 kms from the Spanish Border and can be reached by rail from Perpignan and by air to Perpignan (half an hour away) and Gerona Spain (75 mins away), Carcasonne (75 mins away) from most of Europe's major airports.
You can drive from England or Ireland but is a 2/3 day trip and not advisable. Better to fly to one of the above airports. Toulouse is 2 hours away as is Barcelona. Motorways in every direction to connect with all the airports.

Further details indoors: The apartment when you enter will seem huge to you.
There is a very large kitchen dining space with 3 roof to floor windows allowing a through put of breeze during the summer. This area leads to a mezzanine area which can be used to salt away the troublesome young ones!!!
There is a double bed and a sofa bed there and again plenty of room.I have a website, just ask and I can give you more photos.
Further details outdoors: The streets around are all quiet narrow and pedestrian except for the very odd Frenchman who tries the impossible.
They are cobbled in the main and lead down from the apartment to the main road and across which is the sea about 40 yards from the apartment. You can see the sea from the apartment.

Rentals change day in Collioure is Saturday but if it doesn't suit, it is possible I have no problem changing it to help. I have a friend who will meet you and show you around and is available for anything you need at short notice. She will ensure the apartment is clean and sheets and towels are available when you arrivebut at an extra charge
