Collioure and the surrounding area has a wealth of sights and amenities to see - The working fairy tale Castle city of Carcassonne, over the border in Spain, Barcelona that is only about two hours away by train direct from Collioure station, Plus the Costa Brava with Rosa’s bay and the many resorts is 45mins drive .
To explore you have Mountains, Vineyards Châteaux’s and Monuments. It's a walkers and cyclists paradise. There are many long sandy beaches at near by resorts, Marina’s and children’s amenities.

Collioure is steeped in history. The large medieval fortress the Chateau Royal in the centre of the town is built on a prehistoric site & the beautiful Clock Tower which Winston Churchill I understand painted. There are many stunning small Towns along the coast if you travel southwards towards Spain the boarder 20 kilometres away. Or just have a lazy day sunning on the terrace and stroll down to the wonderful evening ambience of the Town with its cobbled streets. Close by there is Golf, Horse riding , Water Park.and of coarse Vine yards.Perpignan is 15 kilometers and has a wide variety of shopping and sights to visit.

PERPIGNAN, which is only a 30-minute drive, is the closest airport. Ryanair operate a year round service from Stanstead to Perpignan - Flybe also offer a service from Birmingham and Southampton.(seasonal). - Air France also offers a service from Paris to Perpignan.
GIRONA, over the border in Spain, the next nearest option is 1 hour 10 minutes drive away. Ryanair fly daily from Stanstead, Luton, Blackpool, Bournmouth, East midlands, Doncaster, Liverpool, Glasgow, Dublin and Shannon. As well as many other European cities
