Attractive studio cosy and romantic. Ideal for couples and families located in peaceful area.
This light and airy studio with south facing terrace and views into the surrounding hills and Fort Saint Elne is a perfect location. Only five minutes walk of the centre of Collioure and beaches. The sliding glass doors open onto the terrace, the ideal setting for meals.

The open-plan kitchen is full equipped. With one double bedroom and small double convertible sofa, the studio is air-conditioned and also adequately heated for the cooler months.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Pyrenees-Orientales region

The plain of Languedoc Roussillon faces the mediterranean; the Pyrenees mountains are to the south; a Mediterranean climate prevails along the coast. The old province is a historical and cultural region; this land which connects Italy to Spain, was strongly influenced by Roman Culture.

The region is dominated by 700,000 acres of vineyards; the lowland, warm in winter and hot dry in summer, produces vast quantities of inexpensive wine. Cultivation of vines, fruit and vegetables in the plain has been pushed up into the mountain valleys, apricots, peaches and cherries are specialties. Regional cuisine relies heavily an olive oil and garlic; cargolada is a regional escargot plate.

The Collioure area

Collioure an ancient fishing village sits in the foothills of the Pyrenees, it enjoys the warmest and sunniest climate in France. The village is famous throughout France for its three-day August 15 celebration and fireworks. Collioure has always been a source of inspiration for several masters of Fauvism artists; Matisse, Derain, Braque, Picasso found their way to Collioure. Even today many artists have their ateliers in the centre of the village.

The four small bays and beaches of Collioure are flanked by a 13th century castle and a medieval church. Although wide range reasonably priced restaurant , shops, and stunning views, the village has kept its charm and atmosphere. You will certainly fall in love with and come back again.

Visit nearby Argeles with its miles of sandy beaches and travel southwards Spain the boarder 15 kilometres away. Take the hills surrounding Collioure, the views of the sea and hills is spectacular.

By car : Take higway A 9 to the Perpignan South exit; head in the direction of Elne and then towards Argelès/Mer. After that, there are two possible routes: either take the "Corniche" route or the toute marked R.N 114.

By train : Via the direct connection Paris - Port-Bou or T.G.V. Paris - Perpignan.

By plane : Via the international airport Perpignan - Rivesaltes and train (10 minutes) or Gerone airport (Spain).
