About the home

New spacious one bedroom apt with .Mediterranean sea view. Apt has S/E facing balcony which has amazing sunrise over the sea. Apt is brand new with new furnishings and kitchen. Apt has alloted parking space.
Only short walk to beach, village center, farmers market. Famous local vinyards right behind Apt. Tour de France bicycle route near by.
Short hike around village give a beautiful view of Cote vermeille. Matisse and Picasso has right idea to live and work here. I was just following my dream to find a place with sea, mountain, art, culture, cuisine and I found it here in Collioure.
Too beautiful not to share it with YOU. Enjoy!

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Pyrenees-Orientales region

This region has everything to offer. Pyrenee has various hiking, fishing, skiing, with small medieval villages like Villefranche-de-conflent, Eus, along the way . Carcassonne where Cinderella lost her glass slipper, Beuty nursed her Beast, also not to forget the huge Festival in 14th july and August. Saint-Martin du Carigou, Banyul-sur Mer, Port Vendres, Elne, Castelnou and many more I have yet to discover.
Mild Mediterranean climate makes Collioue all year round enjoyable.

The Collioure area

Collioure is tucked in beneath the Pyrenees along Cote Vermeille in the south of France with the Mediterranean as Back drop. It has old 13th century port which occupied king of Catalonia and France many times over.
Many famous Artist like Matisse and Picasso lived and worked here, hence still many living artists you will find along old part of village. Route de vin as well as route de bicycle right behind Apt. Short walk to beach has pebbles and village has Farmer's market on Wednesday, Sunday. Local speciality is Anchois and Croquant, and local wines.

Collioure is located right by the mediterranean sea, on the slopes of the Pyrenees,couple of miles from Spanish border. 30 km from Perpignan, 100 km from Girona airport, 100 km from Caginou Massif, 150 km from
the ski slopes near Andorra and several medieval villeges on the way. 200km from Barcelona.
Fly Ryan air to Girona or Beziers, take airport coaches or rent a car. Or fly to Barcelona and rent a car or take a train to Collioure. Or take train to Paris to/from Perpignan. If you get to Perpignan airport or Train, pick up service can be arranged.

“Perfect Location for Peace, Exercise, Beaches and Village of Collioure” Perfect location, easy to reach and find from Barcelona airport, yet close to the chic village of Collioure, much visited picturesque part of the region. The apartment was like new, clean, well equipt and with free Wifi, sea view from balcony, pool 2 minutes walk away. The walk into the village was perfect for my wife and I to experience some much needed excercise during our middle age. The perfect day entailed a 10/15 minute morning walk to the village for coffee, a uk paper and some people watching, the afternoon at Argeles beach, some 5 minutes in the car away (free parking at Argeles Port) then an evening meal there or back into Collioure at one of the many excellent restaurants or stay in, cook and relax. Best Holiday for Years

“A well equipped, comfortable base near a beautiful fishing village.” This apartment is part of a new development on the edge of the pretty little seaside town of Collioure. At first we were slightly disappointed not to be closer to the beach and Centre Ville. But it's not far to walk - 10 or 15 minutes at most - and there are no parking problems, unlike in the village. (Worth pointing out that walking back up the hill to the apartment might be a problem for anyone in poor health.) You don't need a car to enjoy staying here, but in our opinion you would miss out if you didn't have one. The corniche road between Collioure and the Spanish border is well worth the drive - as long as you're not in a hurry. It's twisty, hilly and very spectacular. Continue over the border to Figueres and you can take in the suitably bizarre Dali museum. In the other direction, the charming old Catalan town of Céret is well worth a visit, with a modern art museum containing works by Picasso, Matisse, Miro and others. We have stayed in many different parts of France over the years and this area is a favourite of ours. Le Petit Azur could hardly be bettered as a base for exploring the cultural, scenic and gastronomic delights of Catalonia. Or you can just swim, relax with a plateful of crustacés or anchois and a glass of the excellent local Collioure rosé, and enjoy the sunshine.

“Gorgeous” We just loved the apartment, all new and so clean, and we just loved Collioure. Apartment was a little walk outside of Collioure but that meant we were getting the exercise we needed after eating so well. There are so many and varied restaurants, one has no need to cook which suited us. We had a raelly lovely time and we will definitely return

“Instant relaxation” The apartment is very comfortable for 2 people- the bed has a lovely memory foam mattress, bliss!! The sofa bed could easiy and comfortably sleep 1-2. There is everything you could think of to make your holiday relaxing, a real home from home. The electric BBQ on the balcony was brilliant. Watching the sunrise from the balcony was beautiful. The apartment is so near the town, a short walk (downhill) to the centre of Collioure and sea. There are various walks back, some more challenging than others! From the apartment we walked along the coastal path and also up hills to the fort. There are endless routes to walk, and beautiful places can be reached by car. The best restaurant we ate in was a tiny tapas bar......just discover them yourself down the winding streets. Yummy!! I will definitely be coming back next year, and I highly recommend the apartment. Tip: from Perpignan airport follow signs to Argeles, as Collioure only marked on road signs when you are very close to it!! Which makes it a hidden gem!
