About the home
Our delightful one bedroomed apartment is set on the hillside overlooking Collioure yet only a 5 minute stroll to all the wonderful shops and restaurants Collioure has to offer.
We have one small cosy double bedroom, bathroom, living room with corner kitchen and south facing balcony.
Our balcony offers a wonderful view of the hills and the village of Collioure.
Our corner kitchen is newly fitted [in January 2007] and provides for all your holiday needs, although with such an amazing array of restaurants available you really won't want to cook.
Our Bathroom is also newly fitted [2007] and has W.C., wash basin, shower unit and is fully tiled.
The living room has a table for four, a comforable sofa bed and T.V with D.V.D. and C.D. player [take your own discs].
The south-facing balcony has table and chairs and sun-lounges [2] and a sun canopy.
As our apartment is set on the hillside, it is reached by quite a lot of steps, but does offer wonderful open views.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Pyrenees-Orientales region


Languedoc-Roussillon is in the southern most corner of France bordering the Mediterranean Sea and Spain.
It is the warmest region of France with over 300 days of sunshine per year.
THe area is known for its dramatic landscapes - mountain, [pyrenees] gorges, long sandy beaches just north of Collioure, and the firtile Roussillion plains filled with vineyards.
Visit:- vineyards, Cathar castles, Carrcasson with it medieval city, museums and art galleries [particularly the Dali Museum in Figueres Spain], and in the winter you can ski in the Pyrenees.
The Collioure area
Collioure is a picturesque fishing port - known as the jewel of the Cote Vermillion.
It has pastel-painted houses 5 bays, an ancient Chateau and church and winding cobble strets.
In the early 20th Century it was the favourite place of the 'Fauvist' painters and Matisse, Derain, braque and Duffy spent many summers here painting their now familliar paintings.
The Artist Colony still flourishes today and you can spend happy hours wandering through the maze of cobbled streets visiting galeris and the many cafes and boutiques.

This is a comfortable one-bedroomed apartment with a lovely view facing south over part of the village to the hills beyond. It is well-equipped with a small but well-designed new kitchen and modern shower room. We made good use fo the balcony space in the sun. The parking permit for the station car park below the property was very useful. A small point - it would have been useful to have had directions to the car park as well as the apartment as although next door to each other , they are accessed differently. Response: Hi.
