Home description

The apartment is just three minutes from the beach and a short stroll to town. The apartment is on the 3rd floor of the Residence and from the lounge, two large french windows open onto the balcony. Being south facing, there is sun all day. The views are beautiful stretching up to a castle on the hill, St. Elme, and to the surrounding hills covered in terraces planted with vines. The atmosphere is one of tranquillity. The main bedroom has the option of two single beds or when together a large double, a lounge with comfortable sofa,armchair,and dining table and chairs. Kitchen, a small bedroom with bunk beds and a bathroom completely modernised in March 08, with shower.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Pyrenees-Orientales region

This area often referred to as ‘ The Languedoc’ has a long Mediterranean coastline of uninterrupted sandy beaches. Few French regions are more stepped in history than Languedoc. Home to excellent wines such as Corbiere, Minervios, Cotes du Rousillon and the regional wines Banyuls.

The region has a vast range of scenery from sweeping mountains to gently rolling hills, it is noted for it’s relaxed pace of life. A popular area for walkers,and if you wish to explore further afield by car, Perpignan; Nimes; Montpellier and Barcelona are within your reach.


Collioure area

Collioure, an idyllic gem on the rocky coastline, is situated in the very south of France, 15 miles to the Spanish border.This picturesque town has everything you need to make your holiday an unforgettable experience, unspoiled nature, sunshine and various lesiure activities. This unique little town, that attracted the presence of the most famouse painters of our century, has a beautiful 'Catalan' harbour. It is sheltered by a quiet bay where the rocky foothills of the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean.Swimming from one of the many small coves and several sand and pebble beaches in crystal-clear water.
Palm trees line the curving beach while in the next bay, behind the houses, the gently rising hills are covered with vines and olive trees.
The attractive quaint pedestrianised streets, lined with pink and beige washed house, are home to many art galleries, interesting shops, restaurants and bars. Regular markets are held on Wednesdays and Sundays during the season.


How to get there

Fly to Perpignan and either take rental car, (30 min drive) train or taxi, or fly to Girona, 1 hour 10 min drive.
Cheap flights available from Flybe, Ryanair and Easyjet. Car hire can be arranged by internet etc, to collect at airports or stations.

This self catering apartment has one double bedroom and one bunk bedroom. A lounge with arm chair and sofa. A dining table with four chairs, two large french windows which open onto the south facing balcony, with views of the hills topped by the fort of St. Elme. The bathroom( new in 2008) has a vanity unit, shower and WC. Check with owners regarding linen and towels.The apartment is more suited to a couple and two children or two young teenagers.

The apartment is situated three minutes from the largest beach of Collioure, Plage de Port D’Avall. Local shops, a boulangerie, newsagents, bars and restaurants are moments away. There is also a launderette just up the hill, and car parking can be found behind the apartment, with other car parks near by.

A 25% deposit is requested with the returned booking form, with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival date.
A refundable breakage deposit of £100 is required at the time the final balance is paid and this is returned within 10 days of the end of the rental, after our agents check through.
We request that guests arrive after 4pm on their start date and leave by 10am on the day of departure
Prices also include local tourist tax of 0.40€ for adults and 0.20€ for children under 10 per day.


Conditions

Unfortunately no Pets , no smoking and not suitable for children under seven. No lift access.
