Home description
Our Gite is situated in a medium size village of Collinee and only a 15 min drive from the famous historical town of Moncontour. Our Village is also only a 20 min drive from the very french city of Dinan with many fine restaurants/ cafes where you can enjoy fine wine . All amenities are close by including a local market every Thursday.
What a better way to start the day than freshly baked bread, croissants and pastries from our local boulangerie, a two minute walk from our cottage.

The Brittany / Cotes-D'Armor region
Brittany / Cotes-D' Armour is a beautiful part of France. The superb coast line of pleneuf Val Andre, Erquy and Sables-d'or-lespin is a must for any visitor. The area boasts many historical places to visit ,on top of any list would be the famous city of Rennes nicknamed the Athens of Brittany.For many people the rugged coastline with its fabulous sandy bays and rocky coves leaves a lasting impression.
Collinee area
The house is 500m from the church in a thriving village with general store,bars,school, library,bank and post office. Situated between Loudeac and Lamballe and less than 20km from medieval Moncontour, with its picturesque half-timberd houses. The beautiful Lake Bosmeleac is just 30km away offers boating,fishing and swimming and even has a man-made beach! if you prefer the real thing, the stunning natural beaches of Cotes d Amour are just half an hour away.
How to get there
Dinard/ St Malo airport is served by regular lowcost flights, Ryanair being the main airline.The drive from these airports take between 30/45mins. The drive from the nearest ferry terminal at St Malo is around 35/45 minutes. The quickest and cheapest Ferry crossing is the Dover to Calais route, so if you prefer to drive rather than sail this is for you!

Further details indoors: AS COLLINEE IS ONE OF THE HIGHEST VILLAGES IN BRITTANY, WE ARE ABLE TO GET A TV SIGNAL FROM THE UK SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO MISS ANY OF YOUR FAVOURITE PROGRAMMES. Our Gite has the added benefit of having a pretty patio area to the side of the property, fenced off for your privacy. Its a perfect sun trap for those days when you want to do nothing else but relax on the sun lounger.It has a table and chairs which, along with the barbecue, is perfect for dining at the end of your busy sightseeing day. You find a folder at the gite giving you helpful information about the local attractions,nearest beach,market days etc. We also have a delightful couple living at number 1,Val and Mick, who they will gladly help you if you need to know about something not covered in the folder. Val also arranges for essentials to be waiting for you,if you would like that. Just let us know what you would like about a week before you are due to arrive. The easiest way to settle the bill is to pay Val direct.

All linen and towels supplied are included in the price. A refundable breakages deposit of £75.00 is required. This cheque will be returned at the end of your stay. AS OUR 1'ST SEASON HAS BEEN A GREAT SUCCESS, WE CAN CONTINUE GIVING OUR CUSTOMERS A DISCOUNT OF £100 FOR YOUR SECOND WEEK. A Supplement of £25.00 will be added for more than 2 persons.
